And I'd agree with you there Blackmogu - Even a year or so back when the £25's were the main thing to play, things were generally OK - it was not often that 'bollock-doing' would occur, as if you played the right things, (at the right time!) generally you'd be up.
I used to be able to get my route done and have at least an extra £200 on 80% of Fridays that I'd play - and still have plenty of time to enjoy a few pints in other pubs before going down for my bowling league (7:00).
With the £35ers though, it's a lot more of a struggle - there's about 60% less machines worth playing (my playlist now consists of 1xVortex, 1xSMTM, 1xCADD 2xInvincibles) Anything else is generally a lost cause, or a try for a board only type affair (FUS, DONDs, etc).
I guess a bigger 'route' is now required to still be able to pull in the funds as before, but frankly, I can't be arsed!

I tend to play the Reds and CADD as above, and then call it a day. Was £40 last Friday come the end of the evening, which I'm in no way complaining about, but the previous times of three-figure-uppage sums are on the wane - mainly due to:
- £35 JP not grabbing the casual punters.
- £35 JP meaning a lot more required to break to the top.
- Recent machines have pretty much removed all skill involvment.
- A surge in generally poor machines being produced.#
