Many moons ago, I used to frequent the same Grosvenor in Bristol - I used to do the grandslams in there, then head down to the Stakis and do their 'slam.

I went to the Grosvenor in Bristol once
Both me & my mate played the 2 1G grand slams, we were there around the time people were only doing the £500 slams, i remember the manager coming up to us & asking us why one of the lights for the grand slam board was missing, the folowing morning we were barred without even getting the Jp, my Mate freddy was the inventer of the grand slam emptier.

technically the empty was invented by the person that coded the machine, deliberately or unintentially the person responsible for the original programming "invented" the empty by not fully perfecting the program.
