I had almost exactly the same thing happen a few weeks ago.

It was the first time I've played the new version,and iwas quite surprised by the lack of jqxz ,the board was almost all green and yellow.

The pound was 940 iirc ,and I was surprised when it did'nt give the option to take it ,anyhow I cleared on about 1600ish and was expecting at least two or three quid for the effort I put in with all those three and four letter words ,but alas ,a pound it was.

I walked into my local pub only to see Jarvis Cocker playing this game. He was moaning that there were not enough vowels and he needed at least two Zs to get more time to continue. I simply noted that he was not sorted for es or wizz. For an encore he went on to play Tetris, but lost very quickly. Again I noted it was due to all the mis shapes.

Whilst looking for a decent boozer in Sheffield, I stumbled across Jarvis Cocker beating a Paragon to a Pulp. I'm not sure he liked the Pub as he was singing to himself;

He then collected £10, and walked away saying "I will prevail, I cannot fail.

Nice one Messi. Not many of the playable version around these days which is obviously a pity. Did find one after a funeral yesterday and whacked in PUNCTILIOUSNESS. Stiff competition though.
