Mark, that was an excellent post.Perhaps you would go down to Bournemouth and do a similar appraisal of the bournemouth litten tree.cheers.

the last time (and the only time) i was in the bournemouth litten tree, the SWP was as easy as the rest of the town. except the nice bit to the north.

also i won their pub quiz but the only other teams were not much competition (dozy students), didn't ever use the beer vouchers as it was pretty foul. plastic pots on a sunday? teams getting 12/60? it was embarrassingly easy.

yes, it is a miserable pub, but i didn't get barred, not that i have any plans to go back there

but christchurch is quite pleasant.

Gods.. what a dive that place is.... beer is always in plastic cups, tastes vile and is more expensive than most other places. Eau-de-vomit is the smell of choice in there, and sticky floors abound.

Istenem has all the high scores on all the quizzes in Bournemouth. Your crown can be claimed at your inauguration ceremony in the Litten Tree.

Been there m8 a few months ago (just around the corner from the bar med if i recall). Absolute shit hole - but a palace in comparison to bedford.

Cant really comment on staff hospitality as we only stopped for a quick pint and moved on, it was boring to say the least.

The whole chain (along with Yates) appear to have gone to the dogs - i dont understand it. 10 Years ago, if I was going out in a strange town, I'd look for a Yates/Litten Tree. Now I'd sooner take my chance in a random greene king lol.
