think the paragons are getting tooled with a new jcm notechanger tool.

seen 4 lads earlier messing about with it ( note changer )and banked £42... they then played the roulette game to get rid of the remainder credits quickly as its the fastest way to lose money.

pretty sure there is nothing on these, its just a way to waste there credits quickly to enable them to collect the bank.

as i understand it, toolers are criminals who use crowbars, 50-pees-on-a-string and the like to win the money.

now, onto the adjective; what does that mean
nobody ever wins on those things.

More specifically I think they use unfair methods to exploit mal-design of the note-changing devices that most AWPs and SWPs have nowadays. No idea how it works but presumably it involves feeding something in that the machine thinks is a note, and registers a load of credits accordingly.

I hope these guys get caught swiftly as they tar us genuine players with their brush, and take out money which would otherwise be up for the taking with genuine good play.

I have a grudging respect for the person(s) who devise the scams.I dont for the foot soldiers who have the brain the size of an gnat. However what they are doing is illegal and I wouldnt be interested in employing such methods to make money. Recently a report appeared in the Portsmouth news concerning people who were putting something down the back of the machine that forced the machine to payout. It said within the article that it was an ingenious method. However this sort of behavoiur makes publicans suspicious of the honest fruit machine and swp machine pro's.

Yes, quite. The distinction between that and profits derived from good play (i.e. knowledge of questions gained by hard work) would, I suspect, be lost on many publicans and members of the public in general. I wonder why they bother with note changers on SWPs to be honest - can't imagine they get much genuine use and act as a "come and get me" signal to toolers and other criminals.

tooled refers to any device that can either get the machine to dump the hopper of its contents, generate free credits and/or gets the machine to payout coins in change from either a suspect note or is more likely a note/device is inserted and quickly removed so coins come out and nothing goes in. Tooled refers to fraudelent methods, winning loads of money from knowledge isnt tooling be it fruit machine or swp.

it is a worry.

if yobbos can go to the pub and steal money by foul means, it is a real pity. there is no elegance in theft; especially when these people would struggle to fix a shoe.

i don't play roulette, largely because i understand the mathematics. there is not a method for stopping a ball in the right slot. so the bank of istenem will offer you odds of 35.999999-1

it will be slow but i will win.

I think it simply means that the thread in question is set to always appear at the top of the page, the aim being to ensure that everyone visiting the site will see that thread first.

danny_bfmv wrote:Hi,

I work in a litten tree and some guys came in tonight, i knew what they were up to straight away, they ran over to bot quiz machines before purchasing two half's of lager.

anyway carried on working and then matey drops almost 50quid out of it i'm pretty sure they was playing the roulette game.

is there anything on it or just skill??

i don't care whether the machine makes money or not, at the end of the day I'm just a supervisor i don't see any of it!

Thanks

Dan.

He is lying out his arse. I went in and checked the paragon at the weekend and there is no roulette game even on it !

Dan can often be found in the wetherspoons incidently rowing the nuts out of things like most addicts. The litten tree where he works is nothing short of a sick bunch of theifs incidently that turn machines off after they have been pumped so they can play them later. Or if its quiet (like it is 95% of the time these days, they have no shame in running out from behind the counter and playing it). Who the hell would want to eat food in a place, where you lose 30 quid in the machine, sit down for your meal and the chef walks out in his chef outfit and starts playing the box.

The tree is poorly managed, poorly run, stinks of piss and will be the next high st pub to close, and good riddance. Let someone else with some initiative and respect for its drinkers take over a totally wasted premises.

If the staff cannot win out of them at all (vortex dan?) then the machines get removed, otherwise they last months + months (chef with a 87000 and an extreme anyone?)

I feel this post from Dan was nothing more than a cry for attention. If you look further down the posts, he even asks people to come into the tree for a chat lol!! (maybe just trying to drum up business?)

As for toolers - They dont just take 40 quid out of a box with 200+ quid in it! Nor would they have left without attempting the other machines (2 identical quizes and 3 fruits, yet he mentions nothing about them) in a pub where you can literally do anything you like!!! So why this thread has been renamed to Toolers I have no idea. It should be moved to the General Chat room and relabelled "Anyone wanna meet for a drink?"

Prats.

If anyone does want to meet Mr. D for a drink, I'd strongly recommend the Rose or Harveys on the High St anyway. Better pint, better atmosphere, better people.

.... glad I got that off my chest, I can go back to work now :)

cheers, Mark
