ring/email bellfruit up, tell them in a polite manner what you think is wrong with them and how you think they can be improved then you'll probally see something in the pipeline because unless you do that they will see nothing wrong with what there producing because non players will still punt them.

I don't know how loud myself and H2 can shout this, but
FOBTs ARE THE MAIN REASON FOR THE DEMISE OF THE S34 CAT C AWP
Is this back to normal? I never usually play about with font sizes and colours, just go with the default settings most of the time.
The industry tends to cycle around. You'll go from extremes of super regular boards, namely 'The Big Cheese' to costing loads for boards, namely, christ I don't know, errr, 'Reno f'ing casino'.
There are other factors responsible for cash throughput decline.
i) The shift away from 'entertaining' jackpots, to jackpots in 'no man's land'.
ii) The pro player has emerged from the darkness, to urban myth and is now in view of the public psyche, so that so many pubs are 'ON TOP'!
iii) Party part ii, errr, emptiers/methods that totally kill a machine. Will Jo Muntling, when he chooses to go all out on a P5(p1) or Cshark that has just been done and gets naff all, maybe a £4 rip from a random exchange that gives third feature up on a 12 and card falls gives £4, or a phone board that gives £15? Is it enough to assuage the obvious assualt on the wallet of endless £1 boards or £2 boards, 11 first go lose? Actually 11 first go lose could happen on both machines!
iv) The downturn in the pub/arcade trade due to smoking ban, less punters in, less chance of play.
v) The surge in on line gaming. Pretty much the same as the main reason, namely FOBTs in that gambling with instant reward is far more diverse.
vi) Slightly less socially acceptable now, than it was twenty years ago. Less of a pub game, more of a gamble now isn't it? Twenty years ago it was just like playing a game of pool, now it's definitely just gambling isn't it? Really almost synonymous with part i)
vii) Anti-player profiles. This is the final and most interesting point. So far it appears that certain games have been released with the sole intention of foxing the 'pro'. An example might be the latest chip for Cash Attack. Needless to say, this doesn't seem to provide any advantage for Jo Muntling. If it's blocked up so tight that an 'expert' player can't win, what hope does a muntling have? This is quite a big foot shooting exercise.
Just go back to Each Way Nudger if it bothers you that much. You allow player advantage by learning reels, but that's about it. It's the perfect 'advantage, but not too much' situation that needs to be created. You should reward player familiarity, but not too much. Gains come form learning the game, but not too many. That's how the scene works.

Mr McStreak
I'm down to going out twice in the week and either a full day sat/sun. Hand on heart i'm still clearing 1k, but only because I travel to a p2 dial on 2 of those days. Thats after paying a driver a ton for each day I use him. A fortnight ago I had 15+ cluedos that were reliable. Sadly most of them are off, as they get robbed. Its slowly getting worse, I had some tucked pubs with CCP's etc in, but i'm finding myself having to go into some real hellholes for any real value, and lots of shit games are appearing. I can honestly say going out any more frequently than I am is a waste of time, unless I travel out of my usual range.
I also can't be bothered, as these days I need a day off to recover from a 12 hour stint.
By the accounts of others I have no cause to moan though, and indeed aren't, except for all the cluedos I've lost thanks to thieves.
They are bread and butter after all.

I can level with the hellholes comments, as this is generally the only place you will find good machines, hate doing this type of place though and barrings are just around the corner if you go to them with any frequency.Mr McStreak wrote:I'm down to going out twice in the week and either a full day sat/sun.
