your top 20 videogames of all time
Had a gander through the old memory banks and here's my list in no paticular order ( no doubt I've missed a few too)................
1. Sensible Soccer (Atari ST)
2. Sabre Wolf (Speccy)
3. Lumines (PSP)
4. Guilty Gear X2 (Xbox)
5. Batman (NES)
6. Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Xbox)
7. Powerstone (Dreamcast)
8. Halo (Xbox)
9. Streetfighter 2 Turbo (Arcade/SNES)
10. Super Mario World (SNES)
11. Championship Manager 02/03 (Xbox)
12. Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES)
13. XIII (Xbox)
14. Half Life 2 (360)
15. Rallisport Challenge 2 (Xbox)
16. Call of Duty 4 (360)
17. Shadowrun (SNES)
18. Super Mario Kart (SNES)
19. Goldeneye (N64)
20. Crackdown (360)
People look back on old games with rose tinted glasses far too much - have a play on Goldeneye 64 and see how ropey it is now. It WAS phenomenal, it ain't aged well though, has it?

super sprint
another i missed most people i knew were so good at it ,they could play all day, scores used to go crazy on it sometimes.
arcade owners used to bribe my mate jules not to hog defender all day.
must have wound them up, people being so good at stuff,10p could last them all day or until they got a swede ache
pacman was o.k for a wee/food break because you had the hiding place.
i remember a little glitch on phoenix that gave you mental points for shooting 3 in formation as they climbed diagonally.

anyone remember "the sparrow book of video games" it was a very early 80's paperback of tips to stretch your 10p further. there was a "method "
for taito's space invaders to maximise the score values of the ufo's ,can't remember for the life of me how many shots had to be fired to get top scores for them though, maybe the don of spacy's ,h2,would know?
