Easy Pickings after England Match

Post by Matt Vinyl »

I just spent about 20 minutes writing an epic post, and somehow it all dissappeared... Grr...!

Anyway, to sum up, after the England match:

- Pub I was watching the game in.

TAW - £16 in, £107 out (2 x RS (£35) / 1 x NW JP / £4+rpt x 3)

- Arcade I hadn't been in for years (I was the only one in there!)

Dragon Drop - £5 in, £50 out (all red features - top)
Rocket Money - £13 in, £75 out (gambled out the cash trail)
Top Gear - £9 in, £100 out (!) (2x JP+repeats from filling the cash trail)
X-Rated - £15 in, £75 out (top off of Fruit Steps)

- Bowling Alley

Top Giza - £25 in, £75 out

I got down to my last £20 on the TAW, after a battering on a Stack Attack before the match. Then it done the 'first move = blue shot = blue streak then death'. Ended up coming home with about £300!

Anyone else find any easy pickings after the game yesterday? I can only guess that the arcade was packed out until about 13:50 and then everyone belted it to watch the match, leaving everything in a state of 'pay-out-age'!

A very enjoyable day, oh, and England won! Yay!!!!!

That's a hell of a result mate :D .

And it's not like you missed anything anyway, what a crock of shite that performance was.

I'd like anyone to watch the Argentina vs Ivory Coast game and then tell me how we're sposed to be second favourites.

The pub I was in was so packed, no-one could move and the fruities were switched off. They closed immediately after the final whistle too so that they could clear up the broken glass and general mess.

Meanwhile over at Wetherspoons ...

Life's a Beach went on a £75 run, costing me £40-odd;
Sub Zero was absolutely buzzing again after I last killed it on Wednesday and gave the Yetis for £50 and a red Big Freeze for another £50, costing me £32;

and my Pink Panther tactic worked again - got a cheap MS followed quickly by In The Pink red, another easy MS. A £4 superhold from the grapes followed on the next board.

It's really not fruity-playing weather this, is it - I've had to resort to putting my loose coins into the pockets of a rucksack again - £100 of coins in the pockets of your shorts looks well dodgy and they start falling down to one side! :P

Heh - definitely!! I did watch the match on Saturday - it was straight after that I made the killing! ;) I'll be looking forward to the next match indeed - watching it in a different town, so will have to see what's on offer after the end of 90 minutes! ;)

Best I had was in the pub I watched the game, before the game never mind the jackpotters was dead as hell, 3 in 2 super ko's. After game was offering fast cash every other board, if I was a bit more sober could have done better than only 25 odd quid up!

I took a quick look the machine in the pub and saw a Smash Martians, YDD and a treasure hunt.

All the note acceptors were flashing that nice little red X. So I thought I would give them a wide birth any way before the match i noticed a guy stuck a few coins into the YDD and the note acceptor came back on. So after the match I thought i would give it a whirl. First board I got MD only went for a straight £25 but still i love it when you get things like that on the first go.
I went on the Treasure hunt and was getting some bits and bobs few red features then got number runner for £15 thought about the gamble but think it was just a fluke so took and left

Only about £35 up but didn't really invest much

Whoops! ;) Show's how much I play YDD!

I did have a few quid in a PtpT yesterday however, and the cashpot got up to £23.90 before landing on a '?' so took this and ran. Wonder if I would've survived it? Not fussed though, as I'd only put £3 in.

I got a spot prize of £3 on Hex (SWP) today. that is about as rare as a AWP JP on your first credit.
