A nice bit of honesty, it must be a personal thing, for you it's monop's, for PMK it's Cluedo's, I'm probably worst at monop's myself but am not perfect on any of them.MoterWayServiceMan wrote:I'm not going to lie i cant hit monopolys so i dont play them, only went on it as i saw someone else on it while i was on the stopper. for the record its 70% in an arcade.
As for "Mc Streaks" not-wedging approach, that's something I simply cannot grasp. If there was ANY advantage in hitting it natural (maybe that you could only get a run of a natural or something) then I'd understand.
Making life difficult for NO REASON...sounds a bit like showing off to me.

I can't understand why the machine lands wild's after the p2. The only people who can hit these are people who make money from machines consistently, therefore reducing the value for the public.
It's like a half hearted effort, which achieves nothing. Why not just let it skip like it does when skilling up for SH/CA/GUAC?

Why would you ever 'risk' it???? It's risk free! Stevie Wonder and David Blunkett could wedge a p1 cluedo for gawds sake! I'm pretty hit and miss at the p2s to be honest, i'll hold my hands up and say i miss a few. If i miss the £5er one either side and go to £6 that gets me a lot of the time. If i get £5 > £10 then that's often the last obstacle....clear that one and i'm home most of the time.

But like Tray says he learnt to hit it early on, presumably when ziggy came out and he realised the potential. I find it no risk whatsoever to hit the skill as opposed to wedging. I first learned about it when an oldschool player from cardiff showed me the wedge. wasnt interested. The skill has gradually got easier with each machine. Granted rovers were a little trickier but the W sticks out of the box which makes it easy enough. Im sure tray will concur with me on this, that wedging will cert you the 35, but now its fixed the edge belongs will those who believe in their own skills.
Well to an extent, you are way more likely to find them ready, but p2's and p3 cluedos are just dirt most of the time. Certainly seem to be harder to trap than p1s. Roll in too many no hold boards which cuts your chances of lines, and they don't set up either so you have another kick in the balls even getting there.

yeah to be fair they do offer the magnifying glass rip often enough but on your own its easy to miss whilst concentrating on the feature side also. I'll leave them alone if not going to the 5th or 6th feature naturally within 2 boards. Having them showing just isnt good enough anymore. The random gtd board is becoming far less frequent as the contribution has been reduced with the programs being tightened up. Where the spare goes I dont know......
In most cases I'm playing them accepting that I'll make a small profit, unless they streak, in which case happy days.

Nope, never wedged any of these and i'm not interested. Not showing off, just habit. I know lads who do have the skills to hit these, who never had problems with Red Arrow, that have just taken the lazy option and as a result don't have 100% faith in their abilities when it comes to the later programs - when they should.Mattb wrote:Yeah thats just rubbish. If you find a wedger, it gets wedged, end of. Why risk missing? No-one here has a total 100% record on these, you will have missed somewhere!
