had ringrounds several times, one place that springs to mind is a place called bulkington near nuneaton, did the first pub of 4, for the rest of the pubs staf/landys to all come out of there pubs and meet us in the street to tell us to move on, your not welcome etc
(these are local pubs for local people lol)

another strange but true 1 was in cheltenham, did a piefactory in a spoons cost 50 for 50 obviously being regularly hammered, walked to second pub only to be told that the spoons had done a ring round and we weren't welcome ,. ,,,,,,,,,, i shit you not, a spoons doing a ring round ?????????? wtf? :P
Little discipline = BIG issue

Myself and PMK once got put on pubwatch after getting a staggered 140 on a Bucks Bunny in a small town centre pub.

Nothing was mentioned at the time but when we went to the next pub and started playing we got approched and searched by security.

We then got told we couldn't play when we went to the 'spoons. Luckily one of the regular staff (and top bloke) set the acting manager straight and all was well :)

Just outside salisbury - the bull pub had a P5 in it, which we lost about a tenner on. Went to the next boozer along, which of course had a new cluedo tucked away, and flying !! Quids in I thought, until the manager came up and said we scammed the bull's machine and he is calling the police. Attempted to turn off the cluedo, to which I responded "If you touch that switch I'll turn you off !". Collected my bank, which meant I lost another 7 on it, and left before the fuzz came.

Sigh.. a ringaround for losing on a bellfruit.. it's as if they don't want business...

I think Martals had some shit in Tadcaster, i was the victim of a ring round in small village in Leicester called Markfield, did a 6 shooter, nothing said, then a chipped connect 4 (wise move feature) and lost £7 on that and was told upon leaving 'thanks for the sociable drink lads don't bother again' got to the last pub in the village which was a meltdown and was told 'can't serve you lads' so i reckon Mr. Sociable rung him up.

was a shame at the time there was a good selection for a tiny village

I've been the victim of a ring-a-round once in Pemberton, near Wigan. A case of £49 in for £50 out on a playing up Royal Roulette, could tell the yokels were watching so I didn't bother with m/c No. 2.

On my way to another pub up the road (which I knew had a PCB) the landlord was stood in the doorway of the pub ''he's just walking towards me now.....'', obviously talking to the other landlord. I smiled and walked on by.

I was only in the area meeting my g/f after work. I'd been in the PCB pub a few times before and always bought a pint, played pool and taken my time before hitting the m/c....I never went in again. Funnily enough, it was the first (and last) time I ever went in the Royal R pub.

Fuck! Is that place still 'on top'!!!
Me and a mate passed through there about 5 years ago on the way back from York, all the landlords/landladys were equipped with walkie-talkies, like security guards...

Am I just being horrible here, but I just love it when you see a hit that has either barred you, rang around, or just given you grief shut down?

I had the same shit in tadcaster a good few years ago, landlord in the middle pub on that bit of one way (near the carpark) did the ringround. I was so annoyed that particular time that i thought bollacks to this and went to the police station there and made a complaint that he saying im defrauding the machine could be seen as 'deformation of character' of course blank looks all round from the desk sergeant. After i made it clear that i wasnt leaving until it was looked into another copper listened to the story and said that although his actions were not criminal it is technically a civil offence to publicly claim you are a criminal and that the only way to get back is to write to the licenced victualers association and make a complaint about the landlord there. If complaints are made in this way he can lose his license. I know this sort of thing is no real good a low profile is usualy best but i'd had so much shit like that at that point i seemed to be getting barred from places almost daily (half the reason i packed this game in) that it just made me feel better. Sorry for the long post im normaly a sleeper but had to mention this specially since i was in tadcaster today

Been down similar roads myself years ago and got absolutely nowhere. I dont bother anymore, I just deal with things my own way.

Ive even been told to 'let it go' by the police or I WOULD BE ARRESTED for breach of the peace. These people just dont like it that you win on boxes, theres nothing they can do about it, and you earn more in a day than they take home all week.

Countrys a joke. Taking the law into your own hands is the only way im afraid.

The interesting thing is, if you walked upto a copper and accused him of being a druggie or a thief, you would find yourself in a cell. One law for one and another law for another.

"Im sick of you emptying my machine"... ah.. yes.. I always love it when those pubs actually do get an emptier at a later date, then you can demonstrate the difference between leaving £215 in a machine opposed to £8.

What about Anstey? That was much worse than Markfield. Thats the trouble with 100 players living in leicester going around buying cokes and leaving them on top of the box ;-)

cheers, Mark

Had my reg took in the hare and hounds Anstey for a King Kebab, never heard anymore about it though, always found the Coach and horses sound, the crowns on top and the one a bit further up, but never got barred from any of them.

ps i never leave a calling card on top or near a machine, it either gets drunk, tipped down the toilet or tipped outside :)

Which boozers did you have probs in Tad? It's certainly the sort of place where strangers stick out like the proverbial.
