Don't want to be controversial but I think think this is a pretty good game and a fairly easy small-time money-maker.
One question.Obviously the spoiling nature of the game is played out in the first section-lack of points, crazy questions etc.
However, is the money round rigged?Does it have to be?My initial assumption was that like everything else it must be but the more I've played the more I think it doesn't have to be.There are 16 monetary amounts I think and nearly half are just your money back so there's only a small chance of winning big.
Imagine it-a machine that has a part which isn't completely rigged-could it be true?

Yes. It would be nice if it were true, but why take the chance?
Played a lot of games tonight. As far as quiz machines goes, I've played far worse. But everytime I got to the cash game, I got greedy. 3 times I was down to a 10p-50p v £10 or £20. Every time I got awarded the crap prize (no rounding up here folks, 10p equates to 10p credit).

Would everyone be so kind as to let us know how they get on if they get into a 10p v £20 type situation.(Incidentally I've seen £1 a go £40 jackpot-makes much more sense).
This way we can see if I was being staggeringly naive/blissfully optimistic or otherwise.

this has finally made it to the nation's capital (or my bit of it anyway).
can't say i was that impressed, the points targets seem to fluctuate wildly depending on how many red boxes it is going to give you in the first section.
i didn't make it to the cash game out of four goes, but i was impressed by the relative lack of spoiler questions, they were largely very easy or difficult but knowable. i think my strategy was awry by not taking any banker's offers and ending up with 1000 or whatever in my box when he'd offered 15000ish. exactly the same principles of greed and superstition which befoul the show led me astray.
i'll give it another go purely because it will appeal to players who are not as good as us. like wwtbam/japseye.

I've had lots more 10p-80p v £8 / £10 / £20 gambles. As per your instructions, Foxy, I'm still going for the gamble rather than accepting the paltry £2-£4 offer from the banker. I'm still yet to win el gordo (highest prize I've won has been a fiver). I think you must owe me about a ton by now.
But, if you don't get greedy, and you can look past the shoddy design and programming, it really isn't that bad a game.

One point that should encourage you to accept the first offer each time is that if you have lost one of your Try Agains while answering the five questions, you get that back by accepting the offered amount. The same seems to apply to the cash game as well, i.e. the prizes offered rarely if ever seem to increase if you reject an offer, so I tend to collect whatever the first offer is - this is nearly always in the range £2.50 to £4 so it's hardly a major moneyspinner but there are definitely a lot of worse games around!

Decided to twang Foxy's survey and actually try and make a profit instead. And what do you know, 50p in, £4 out... next 50p in, 59,000 points for the cash game, somehow managed to reach it. Won a further £3 pound after accepting a very generous from the unseen banker. He must have been sweating buckets in anticipation.
UP's right about the lack of spoilers, although I did get a couple. Then I made the mistake of thinking I was some sort of demi-god at quiz machines, and had my first ever shot of Stand & Deliver. .... I used to think that the "swap the bonuses around type" mystery was beneath me until I played this game... it went faster than Thrust II. And 7 (seven... as they used to put on the videprinter for fantastical scores) guesses later I still hadn't sighted the $1 (someone's hidden my pound sign)... was this cos of my perspicacity (copyright UP) at all things Noelly or just some clever dick who travels the country rattling Stand and Deliver machines?
