I've quit playing fruits

Post by greenbelter »

A few reason really

a. I'm crap at playing then, partly because I don't have the time or haven't had the time to learn them.

b. Don't have a key

c. Don't have the discipline to know when to stop.

Instead I'm gonna play Blackjack in bookies. Don't laugh. I know it sounds sad and stupid but i've done alright this month and am £320 up in 5 days in these. I've had small wins and one big one. I know this might be luck but i'm learning to be more disciplined and I'm not chasing for a top or a huge win. I tend to win £20 then stop, a big win is a bonus but all these small wins will add up.

Today I was £40 in for £100 out. Last Thursday I was £25 in for £240 so so far so good.

Its also good to do a quick hit rather than get committed for an hour wiaiting for that big top as you would get on a Fruit.

Anyone else bored/ sick of playing fruits?

Good luck to you all anyway and hope you continue to make ££££ on them.

Have to say I don't enjoy playing as much as I used too, but it's better than a 9-5 so I'll keep plugging away

Quit whilst you're ahead on the blackjack and this isn't meant to sound rude, but get a job if that's all you're doing to make money. £7/hour will soon outweigh the losses you'll invariably get on Blackjack.

Anyone can win a tenner and walk, but can you lose a tenner and walk? That is the bigger question.

True but I think your going to be hard pressed to make a good living for your self when you hit 40's.

How much are you aiming for to have saved up in the bank by the time your 40, a realistic goal would be 200k.

I take it your 25, so this would mean you have 15 years to make this amount.

On average you should be making £13,000 a year. This is raw profit so we shall take a 40% cut of £13,000 to pay for kids (if you have any), food, car, bills etc this will amount to £5,200.

In total you should be making around £18,200 a year and I will personally take my hat off to you if you can consistantly do this because I do think that you have made a fair bit thus far but not to that amount.

Say you get a job now and you might be on £15,000 a year for example ( i dont know your background or quallifcations) In 15 years would you say theres more chance of you moving up the ladder to a well paid job rather then a consistant profit out of fruit machines?

*edit*

if your playing for fun then fair play to you im not here to judge

BFK should be making way more than £18K a year if he's full time and as fresh as he's supposed to be....

£200k won't buy you a good house now, let alone 15 years time. No Monopoly Hot property market remarks please. The time to set yourself up has passed imo. Enjoy your Swiss Toni trainers whilst they last, 'cos the future ain't so good.

Pocket money yes, long term living, don't bank on it. Don't turn to blackjack though ffs! Ccounting the FOBTs, lol.

Yeah thats right cos most average 40 year olds have a spare £200k in the bank dont they?

That is far to much of a sensible post for you HRK(damn these 3 letter users). And it shows you are out of character.

At the end of the day, if your making enough to live on then keep doing it, eventually a job will be required but while the goin's good, keep goin I say. If like Greenbelter, you are losing all the time then quit.

No offence HRK, but if you really think £5,200 a year is the correct value to extract from a years earnings for someone with kids, a house, a car etc etc then you really are showing your age here. The average mortgage these days would be nearly double that a year!!

Not trying to be funny mate but I don't think you can apply to get a mortgage and say your a full time Fruit Machine player.

I assumed the most of us here are Jobless who are supporting them selves with Fruit Machine who have no House to pay off but the majority have a car and maybe pay rented accomodation if not living with the parents.
