I see another version of this is doing the rounds now. Had a quick dabble on it on Friday. Nothing to write home about. Same as most BFMs with the cash and feature stack on the right and the 3 streak 'pots' on the left. The main difference is that the main feature is video-based. Three keys open it up, and you can collect or play on. You just roll a dice and move along a trail with a copper following you, a la cat and mouse. If he gets to you, you lose everything. Surely they could've utilised the video for something a bit more exciting than that? Oh, and having a video number reel really puts me off, as I like to watch the number as I'm moving around the board, but it's too far away.
Anyway, won't be bothering again...
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
So many rumours about a system on the original cops and robbers.
Think it was one of the first £6 machines.
I don't even think a emptier existed. The original C+Rs were an excellent machine to run tokens through from aces to get cash from.
the original was way before 6pounders ,it was a 3 pound token and a different game from over 20 years ago . there was a 10 repeat skank pre progged in to the 6 pounder that is mentioned elsewhere on here ,the guy who put it in got caught and done!

I seem to remember that some machines stopped taking tokens at a certain point - probably a dil switch setting which mreant they only accepted the amount of tokens that had been won from that machine. :x :x

The original Bell fruit Cops And Robbers was £1.50 jp in tokens was it not ?
mr lugsy wrote:if you say so . first time i saw one in a pub it was 3 pound and that was 22-23 years ago , it had a trail feature with you being chased by the cop.
Possibly then.Do you remember how you could change the gamble in the fact that you could possibly gamble a 20p win straight to the jackpot.Very rarely did this but i suppose it was poss.Could have been several jackpot versions .Its the same machine then.Bellfruit even had the cheek 25 years ago to clone it.Cat and Mouse wasnt it ?
memories very cloudy on this , just about all i remember is the fact it had a trail as opposed to board and a cop chasing you. there were a few games in this era that had stake change gambles though .
