Like i said you can only score against teams who are put in front of you and in those games he's come on, done his job, made a impact and scored. what more could you ask of if you were the manager?

If it was Rooney who scored those 5 goals every englishman would be singing his praises.

like i said previously some people see the man before they see the footballer.

I wish people would give the man credit - he's hit a hatrick for his country which not many people have done. No matter who your playing its still international level and a great achievement.

when he pulls on the England shirt he is getting 100% of my support, same as any other footballer or sportsman competing under the cross of Saint George.
nobody ever wins on those things.

but the man himself could very well work in our favour. He's not the typical player and that is an advantage to us. He's proved what he can do with some quality finishing (2 of his 5 goals would have beat most keepers and were extremely well taken) and rival teams just wont know how to handle him.

his lay off allowed Owen to set Lampard up not only does he score but he is involved in alot of positive attacking play.

sounds laughable but he's a brilliant weapon as most will underestimate him.

I would take him to the world cup, dont get me wrong - but only as a sub, to add height. I agree that the first touch goal against Jamaica was a good goal out of the 5 he scored.

I read in some paper yesterday, even if Rooney comes back fit, Owen and Crouch should still play upfront, i think that's laughable - no way!!

Strikers are there to score goals, crouch is not good enough, nor is Zamora, Crouch might be better then Zamora, but he certainly aint better then Ashton or Harewood -

How many did crouch score last season? 8? Harewood scored 14, and zamora 7 -

why are we playing Carragher at right-back anyway?

id rather Terry and Carragher our main centre defenders, then terry and ferdinand - ferdinands never been a world class defender! and we have G-Neville, or is he injured? :|

As for half the team....

Banks - Leicester
Cohen - Fulham
Wilson - Everton
Stiles - Man Utd
Moore - West Ham
Ball - Blackpool
Greaves - Spurs
Charlton - Man Utd
Hurst - West Ham
Peters - West Ham
Hunt - Liverpool

I make that a whole 3 out of 11 (27%). Not the half you were on about! :P
