most gamble machines are compensated anyhow, I can only think off those crests like golden charms etc. that have a gamble and are still claiming RANDOM... On compensated ones there must be an element of progressiveness about the gamble - ie. it cant afford to keep paying £500 on the gamble, equally if it keeps losing it must become somewhat mre generous.cashino wrote:Afters?? Of course, on 'random' machines......mr lugsy wrote:you should play 1 pound spin as its the only stake now on the 500 version.also id be very surprised if you find an arena that hasnt been made into the 35 pound ,50pjoey version(a different "game" entirely). if you find a 500jpt dont get stuck into it,go 20 quid max then leave it from my experience it is improbable that youll get the biggy after this.
there are many people on here who will try and tell you that this machine is 100 pecent random, but i will not be doing this. if you are lucky enough to get a jpt you will also get a bit of afters usually.
Anyway, DO NOT EVER GAMBLE WINS on the new 500+500 jackpots b3/s16's.
If 'random' you'd have 50-50 chance, but it is NOT 50-50!!!!
Your win is illegally pre-decided, AKA Fairplay's UK allegations on the mpu4/5 program machines.
DON'T DO IT! Take ALL wins!

as mystery plum stated game links are forbidden on b3.this has been set in stone in the updated gaming machine standards supplement, the draft of which is currently with the european commission(final version available june 208) . id be very surprised if developers take any notice of this as they are a law unto themselves(they even have their own definition of random which im told might make it into the dictionary soon).
on game links it stipulates all cats a to d that any reference made to any previous game must occur "randomly" the punter must not be aware that a link will be given.
for cat c and d it rules where no prize in any single game of a linked series exceeds 15 pounds you can have a maximum of 6 consecutive links
other changes in the updated standards attempt to stop renegades from exploiting grey areas by changing the wording and numbering a bit.
a draft explanation of all the changes has been published to accompany the supplement.

After spending £600 on Reel King yesterday without one king feature, I've decided to leave these £500 JP machines alone.
I'm still not convinced exactly what is random and what isnt about these machines, but that is a lot of money to lose without getting even one £5 feature. Problem is the £25 and £35 machines dont really interest me anymore, and these are getting fleeced by the chavs who have nothing better to do but hang around the arcades watching and waiting for people to lose big, then pounce.
If the fruit machine industry could come up with some idea/technology to give casual players as much chance as the pros, and give at least some wins per £20 say, then maybe players would start coming back.

these services make absolutely silly money on the £500's, hence why they always have their full allocation of 4, even if the services has just 6 machines!
They can be truely awful, costing £400+ for a single board, barcrest/astra/bfm all the same. You lose 90% of the time, get lucky 10% of the time... Whether they are random or not has been hotly debated but they are certainly shite either way

600 for no reel king feature is the worst piece of bad luck i have heard of mr dave. i suppose though ,once you were in for x ammount you couldnt leave it without trying to get some back. reel king 1.4 is supposedly random, not compensated like newer b3s .
they are all as ob said ,shite and should be avoided like any place hrk has just visited.
when i play these ,which is rare now (i owe it to my kids not to) i go no more than a score, ever, and that is always out of profits from proper machines . putting a potential family holiday in one should be a stinking rich mans passtime only.

lol there's a guy there called steven, bald, 40's, quite short, nice guy though, he sits there playing 2+ at once, there most days, he's being gone for years and years, when I used to do mimms alot about 7 years ago he was there every day too, liked doing the jpeers etc. for IM's lol....pickareel wrote:biggest servy earner on the 500s is mimms, they get constant play all day n night
he must do an ABSOLUTE fortune in there, the few times I've been there, in the short time I was there, I think he was losing hundreds in that time!
anyone else know the guy... I'm sure alot of us know cokehead darren, but steven is there more often...
2 other blasts from the past... an old couple jack and pat, used to sit playing bully for you, wobbler, the holy grail(25) and goldstrike(25)... sadly they don't visit anymore!

Personally I have done rather well out of gambling wins on the slotto version... most of the time hitting 250-300. Seems fair to me, but it does feel progressive, wich in my opinion is not a bad thingAnyway, DO NOT EVER GAMBLE WINS on the new 500+500 jackpots b3/s16's.

In fact I will go out of my way to play one if I spot it...

Truly random games will have target percentages. Roulette has a target percentage.
quote]
I once saw the meters on a William Hill FOBT.
Now THAT was quite concerning, they read in and around]
Apologies if this has been mentioned before but with regard to FOBTS, cash in figure will refer to monies entered - not total stakes played. Hence the considerable difference in Cash in and cash out figutres.

yeah, a few months back, unless i managed to mess up using quote. My girlfriend works in a bookies, so i know thats how the meters work. Incidentally, as their 500's are on one machine - with no other games, i know that overall they are no where near their 90%+ payout, although in one three week period, reel king paid out 5 pots, all by giving 5 kings on feature.
