spiker the biker barcrest fault

I have just purchased a spiker the biker machine by barcrest for my son, when all the doors are on it alarms and says ''tamper pnd opto blocked alarm 17-83'' I would be very gratefull for any help or advice??

have you taken the mech out and given it a good clean.

I would expect this to sort the problem 80% of the time

Please excuse my ignorance but what is the mech? I have stripped down the coin hopper and removed the controller with the pecentage key on and replaced but to no avail.

after reading your mail a couple of times, i assume you meant the coin mech? I have removed and cleaned this but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me the link to the machine doctor??

Try Stripping down the Hopper again. This time take particular care to clean the little glass opto. This is the light (EYE) that counts the coins as they leave the Hopper. There maybe a hair or a little dirt on it or the reflection part nearby. Goodluck

Thanks for the advice, I have cleaned it to death and have had to buy a new hopper motor.. I will let you know if it works!!

Fitted new hopper motor.....now works like a dream..
