well thinking of the 100 club of that era- maybe Goochie but surely he would have got through more than that surely so I'll go with David Gower?

not two guesses I knew it wasnt Goochie- he used to appear in an all rounders comp in HK with imran, kapil Dev, Hadlee etc- he bowled far more than that for England.
If allowed a hedge I was going to say Alec Stewart who for some reason I am sure bowled for a random reason at some point- not sure whther he had the gloves in that game or not

correct it was alec stewart. (he went for 13 runs and jack russell was behind the stumps)
in his first class career his figures were:
447 502 446 3 1/7 148.66 5.33 167.3 0 0
over to NM

OK sticking with cricket (sort of).
On the Qantas flight over from Sydney on the way here for the Aussies winning 1989 Ashes tour, how may cans of lager did David Boon get through?

Good guess I'm going to give it you as I dont like those higher / lower type threads. It was 52 (330ml cans) and a couple of chasers as well by the sounds of it. He was a big lad mind- its a long time since Ive managed anything near 20 pints let alone 30

I'll go for John Lowe - since his name is forever appearing Quizzers.
Andre the Giant supposedly necked 119 bottles of beer in one sitting. Maybe it was Skol.
Oh, and guess who this is...
