Gold rush

Post by ROSSKEEN »

My local has a Gold Rush by Gamesmedia.

Saturday afternoon, playing it whilst having a beer with my old man. Couple of quid in, super streak, £12.

Out with the boys that night, got a red super streak. £8.

Logic?

That's Games Media logic for you... Or is it not AC Games (affiliate??).

In my mixed up world of logic I was ecstatic because I thought (very wrongly) that a red super streak might be a mega streak.

Well I suppose that would depend if you were playing "Pots of Gold"

Yes yes yes, £10 is the maximum I have ever got on red or white super streak so that is a new record.

Yeah but they are easy to read
Dont play these myself but it's obvious when you will lose
Like you say if it gives extra zone, and leaves the SS it usually just spins out then loses
It will also once you spin out, let you have the first gamble, if there is no car there, and give you 2 or 11
Again its obvious it just loses to 1 or 12
very predictable and very boring

And without wanting to turn a Gold Rush thread into a R2R thread... ...very bloody common! I've got about ten R2Rs around here, which means ten machines that are not something better... Grr...

Anyway, back to GR...

I now only really take the following as signs that it's ready to go for a red top:

-Red Mega Streak being offered (with other shots still available).
-£3 and £5 being landed on within the third board.

If you're only playing for a bit of pint change, the cash repeaters are usually OK for £2-£3 profit, providing you get a very early board.

Unless a hot, hot, hot board, super streak, 3 strikes is usually enough, love to see 4, or 5 strikes, mega streak and any top levels. Also ten, 15 shots, and a couple of features, down the mine? and mining mayhem?

I'd be nervous about that personally - my view is that it can offer red SS and red 3 strikes while still a long way off. An offer of Mining Mayhem, of course, = play it out.

For me, the key is the offer of Mega Streak and/or 5 strikes on the 2nd level. Even seeing it offer only the normal MS can be enough to bring a BIG top feature your way pretty quickly. Equally, it can offer normal MS after a big streak and make you think you should play it out. It then proceeds to royally stuff you.

I'd look upon MS & 5 strikes as the key to Gold Rush, Warped, Money Spider, Knockout, they're all the same.

I'm actually running out of these games locally, would you believe ...
