Keeping A Record Of Earnings

Post by pierkid »

Who does this?

I have done it for 3 years only, profit-hours worked-hourly rate etc.

Its good to look back on and to keep track of things just wish I had started a spreadsheet earlier. Its not always good to compare previous times of the year tho!

I plan to post it to the owner where I play when I quit (end of this year), as he honestly believes I lose!
stop the swag.

I often think about keeping records but never do. Sometimes i won't even count what i'm into a machine either. I just take x amount with me, play what i want to play, then count up at the end of the day. 8)

i kept a note a while back just too see how i was doing, but after a while i could'nt be arsed, however i always know what i put in/take out of a machine, and what i leave the house with, just so i know how i've done on the day, some people just grab whatever out there pocket and play away, i personally count in £10's too see what i've made/lost.

Lol ditto, for those that do count, I'll direct you to the song "the gambler"

"Never count your money when your sitting at the table (or in this case out playing obviously etc.), they'll be time enough for counting when the dealing's done"

Personally see no point in keeping records etc. what information does this give you that's of any use, you know which machines you are winning and losing on in general anyhow, and where those were, so why bother!

I just like too know how much i'm in, say a red goes £35 then £70 and i'm £40 in then i know i'm £65 in front, i never just grab a handful and start playing, i play in £10's.... maybe its just me.

I've tried keeping profit/loss records for 6 months then stopped bothering, much easier to set aside a gambling stake for say 6 months/a year and once it's gone, you know you've lost/spent XXXXXXXXXXX amount of pounds,

LOL with reds these days, sometimes you'd rather NOT know how much you were in :P

i think you have mis-understood me, this is just an example, i always take £150 coins and notes just in case, how some reds are these days you need it.

I keep records of what I win each time I go out, just to see how much I make each year. Always keep a count of how much into a machine I am as eddie says, just so you know where you stand.
