Not really, I don't class myself as an addict. When I get a full-time 'proper' job I will only probably play a couple of evenings a week.

Me and a fellow player often go round the pubs playing, have a few beers and it's good craic so I'll still do it. However, I can't imagine myself travelling to places, going to arcades etc. if I don't need to do it to pay the bills.

I really don't like gambling, I wont bet on horses/dogs, don't get involved in FOBTs etc. as I don't like losing money and find it all a bit dull.

Not everyone on here is an addict.

I am an extra-lite supa-dupa low nicotine non addicted player. I play purely for minor recreational perplexment and bemusement.
When I do win, I always walk past the local ladies, avoiding the FOBT, but sometimes I glance backwards for obvious reasons.
I don't have green fingers, but my pockets are in a disgraceful state.
Also my eyes are shot to pieces via excessive posting of nonsense on websites such as this one.

Actually, I class myself as an addict to avoid any feelings of paranoia that I may be an addict. Chances are I'm probably an addict, so it's easier that way.

Best way to think about if you're addicted would be to think how you'd cope moving to another country.

I'd miss fruit machines for all of 5 minutes.

I believe addicts are those who have to play every fruit machine even the shit ones. Those who put fruits before friends and family and those who sleep and dream of fruits!!! I am disciplined and only play the fruits i know, and take them on when i feel they are ready. Thats what you call playing for a living and not an addict!!!

I would agree with a lot of what was written above.

What is a FOBT, by the way :? : :? :
