New Regulations
New Regulations
Hi All,
I know there's been a fair bit of talk recently about the death of machines as we know them. There seems to be a belief that sometime soon (Sept. 2008 seems to be a common theme) machines will all become 'random' (B3).
Does anyone know the truth about this or is it still just rumoured.
Either way things are looking bleak for players everwhere (Anfields story is just another nail in the coffin). I'll be getting back into work asap in the new year but hope I can still make some extra money.
What does everyone else know / think?

That's the end of Wetherspoons then....I think I read they get something like 40% of their profit from machines.Dunhamzzz wrote:its inevitable!
Chances are all machines will have to be in specific gambling areas when it comes to bowling alleys, bingo halls etc. Pubs will probably just rid of them.
Cheers Dunhamzzzzzzzz but sadly that's still only speculation, does anyone know for sure?

.
They will just have to house old machines by the sounds of it.
I'm sure that somebody posted that this was happening last September (07)? anyone?

I'm not sure about whether everything will be becoming random, but I certainly think the video AWPs will be big! The one at my bowling alley that had Flashback on it has now got DOND CYBTB and it said that more similar were 'on their way'!
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
When the technology permits they will be able to switch video awp's , monitor percentage payouts and download rechips if required remotely. No more following Leisure Links vans around to find where they've taken your beloved Red. There will be someone monitoring every machine in an arcade via a computer terminal in the back room or Indian call centre type establishment waiting for the percentage to deviate.
Come on you Royals
Already have done Harry. Pub where a relative works used to have leisure link supply 3 AWP's and a Paragon SWP. Now they use Games Media directly, no middle man. GM supply them with 3 Video AWP's (Juice) plus a GM SWP and a computerised Juke box thats hooked upto a 40" plasma screen on the wall. It's all linked to a magic black box behind the bar which an engineer spent a few hours with a laptop attached to it on day of installation. All 3 AWP's look identical but they each have at least 1 choice of game unique to themselves.
Now I presume they're all being monitored through the net because the Landlady is in dispute with GM as Leisure Link used to do a weekly Refill But GM want her to do it manually but she's refusing to.
