One of these that is near me with the reel sync issues is still being a nice weekly earner!
Why though, do these insist on giving you a 'bonus number' which is a 4 or a 9 when the reel is playing up? For example, you'll get on the board, and the reel will be out of sync stuck between two crap numbers. It then gives you the automatic bonus number, and syncs itself back in. But, it usually always gives you a 4 or 9 that pegs out first gamble. A bonus number on a 'working' Vortex is 99% a 3+bonus or 10+bonus, the other times it might be a 1,2,11,12.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!toothless11 wrote:Red box boards means the m/c is there. Just play on and force out. They can throw in SSS and 10/ SS boards and not be there, it just means it wants to offer 10 quid and nothing more.
It is only rare when it offers red boxes and not being there prob end of streak.
This is so wrong, sorry mattb etc., its nothing against you, although it might seem like I often disagree with you, this is just plain wrong, the red boxes are equivalent to £10 that's it - its so damn obvious COME ON!
Agree with ob here, red boxes are not always a sign it is there, although I can see why you are saying that if it has been going when it has offered them to you. Matt, Storm force only gives £35 off 7 bonus, not off the other numbers as you say.
If in doubt on these switch back to normal game and if it is showing on low nudge entries then it is genuinely there.

Just to elaborate on my post (me' boss was coming so had to post sharpish!
)...
I thought that 'all' the hiddens were £10 max - I didn't know there was the equivalent of Notation - but I'm sure most will agree, if it were to offer you this and actually in a situation that would give you the £35, the top would've been there soonish anyway. Whereas, like ob says, if you take red hiddens, you still may find all the features capped at £10, and it won't give you Storm Force...
Have Red ever made a machine where if you get the skill hiddens, you can 'guarantee' JP? I know S'n'S pretty much was, but others say this used to jump? That's also irrelavent now, as Red Sevens are either £10 or £25, dependant on what you're playing, and not JP value, like they used to be...

Last night I visited a pub which I wouldn't normally go to (pool night, you see), anyway they had a Vortex but I only had £30 on me so I ignored it and believe me twas hard! My mate jumps on it and starts playing it @ 30p x1 numbers and complains when he has one board for a tenner, lower than a 10 = 6, higher = 3, ha ha mug, he wouldn't listen to me trying to tell him 50p mega spins. He ended up around £20 down in the end.
The problem is it autopays out, so if people constantly take low wins to get a bit of cash back will it be far off and dead all the time? Or will it be desperate to give a nice streak (unless its covered that is)? I don't know Reds like a lot of you guys do, thats why I'm asking. Cheers.

Yeah i totally agree that red boxes can also only be 10 quid and it block for storm force but come on when do you get red boxes offered naturally on the board when its dead!!! Never. You will only get it when it throws in a SSS for nudges like on invincibles et al. I agree where you are coming for Ob but when it offers red boxes naturally that is one of the best signs to force!!
Trouble is, if you collect the red hiddens, the only way you'd know whether the machine was there or not is if it actually allowed you to take Storm Force with a JP number on the reel. And then you regret not forcing out the MS.
Surely the fact that it does not 100% allow you a pottable Storm Force every time you collect red hiddens mean that you cannot say it's definitely there for the top. If it was definitely there, it'd always give you the pot off Storm Force!
Just wait until you play Barcrest's SMTM clone, Gold Strike .. which offers red hiddens all the bloody time when it's clearly not ready. Then you won't be saying that red hiddens = all out force.

This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
