relatively new to fruit machines in a sense that i used to put in a few quid and hope for the best (not knowing what i was doing), but more recently (past year or so) spend most of my nights out stood in front of a machine!

from the lincolnshire area, mostly playing the deal or no deal machines at the minute (cos there all over the place here), although enjoy most machines, and looking to get better! i want my winning to be more about what i know, not pure luck!

i'v picked up general tips watching other people play (cancel button and the like), but dont really have any sorta idea when it comes to how the machine's work, when they pay out/when they dont, what to look for on the machine. . . different ways of playing different machines

thats why i'm here!! to hopefully learn from the people who know!! so if anyone has got any general ideas on where to start let me know!! particularly with the deal or no deal machines ("whats in your box" tends to be in most places)

its a £35, its pretty much just the pubs i play in. all the machines i go on pretty much are the £35 jackpots..... not often i walk away with a jackpot tho! i have got in the habit though of not wanting to leave a machine until i'v got a decent amount out of it.... sometimes can be costly, but i'm learning!
why do you ask by the way!?

Gary the £25 and £35s are all chippedypoos. You'll find Tenpin have a few £25 wiybs kicking about. The jackpot is a very poor indicator as to its chippedyness. You'll find being switched on is a good sign it's chipped. However that comment did make me wonder wether a trip over to Lincolnshire might have been a goldmine tour three+months ago!

Anyway, this is a sticky bun. Introduce yourself, if you must call me something other than Streakypoos then I suppose you could take a chance on a name that sounds like Borge and is alliterative when you prefix it with jackpot.

name is chris, but bun is fine! from grimsby to be specific.... i have noticed grimsby mentioned a few times on these boards and a few others i'v flicked thru... seems to have a few regulars around and about here.

enlighten me on all the chipped/non chipped machines, i get the general jist of things, and like anyone else only go on machines in the hope of winning some money!! i'm just trying to get a better knowledge of playing... and also knowing when to play and when not to!

There were problems with some Deal or no Deal machines which were corrected in early July for most What's in your box? Late August for most 4 reel machines and slightly later Au(G)ust for m(O)st Power 5s.

They have all been rechipped, s(O) (D)o n(O)t waste mo(N)(E)y on out of date emptiers off Ebay(!)

i've seen a few advertisements about for emptiers! never really been tempted to buy them tho... i have tried looking on boards, but seems to be that people like to keep things to themselves like that! lol!

more than anything i enjoy machines now, hence why i wanna learn! but it can be really annoying when you dont win!!

you guys got any general tips on playing?? what to look for, what not to look for! or point me in the right direction!!?
