Chased this earlier as it was blatantly ready, and is much the same as other big Money new bellfruits (pots of gold, power 5 etc). Cost me £45 to get Big Money which did £60 with no afters. Going to be hard to find it ready, i caught it £8 ready for that force.

This went IM on me today, board goes all red and logo flashes, for those that haven't seen it, it gave me the 5 dynamite symbols and went for a flat 35, which wasn't bad after two quid in. It doesn't spin the wins in, and just flashes up the trail.
Also, playing a 25 jp Pulsation, put me up to 99 nudges which obv xchanged for a tenner. Should I gave gambled higher than 5 to get to the top board? Most features red. Did it again, also on a 5 about 5 mins later. Collected tenner both times. I was a fool, wasn't I?

Going back to Manic Miner - a game which caused me hours and hours of torture as a Spectrum game - I've got one in a particularly good location.

It is pursued daily by a woman who seems addicted to it - she frequently takes £3 repeaters and leaves it full; I played it this afternoon and found it full - £25 in for a £35 Big Money (via 5 symbols) and about £10 later, red Big Money for £55. You can tell when red Big Money is going to be offered as the red £35 is offered first.

The gameplay isn't too bad - it's all happening pretty quickly so is forceable without snoring; however I wouldn't force one that isn't showing a £5 shot. The boards are approximately £3 apart when ready - occasionally cheaper.

I was worried that the game was going to be too similar to Count Yer Cash and/or Jackpot Junction which were hard work - but this one has just one symbol to land on to open the top board, although it's not possible to 'Count Me In' - ie. lock yourself into the top board in an IM type way. Landing on it again and again 'locks' you in but gives a square upon which you can still return to the basic board, so you're never truly locked-in.

The pattern with which it awards top feature amounts seems to follow that of Pots of Gold, Viva Mexico etc - as said above, but without the cashpot malarky.

I've now twice had a £55 top from this thing.

Yeah its very similar to Pots Of Gold. Unfortunately the cash shots are a bit of a waste of time. The 3rd best shot (£5rp) just doesn't mean its ready enough. Need to get into the top and get a decent cashpot or 3+ strikes. Completely trapped one of these last week though. Had 2/5 dynamites, extra life and skill stop. It span me a 12 to a cash shot....skilled to the dynamite for the 3rd......lower than 12 for the 4th.....span to an 11, lower to lose the extra life, lower for Big Money. Flat £35 as expected but was only a few squids in. 8)

Reeeee-sult! :)

That's a fair point about the cash shots too - I would be very anti-playing one that wasn't even prepared to offer the £5+rpt. A couple of other things I noted:

Readiness seems to be around the corner when the very first spin on the board is an 8, opening the top board up straight away; Red boxes on the reels gives 'Mega Start' - which doesn't necessarily seem to be a good thing as none of the shots are red when you go into the feature; No Lose Hi/Lo seems to be offered all the time, so is no indicator of the machine being ready to pay; Getting the top feature via 5 symbols, normal Big Money or red Big Money doesn't seem to have any real effect on the size of the streak (unlike say, Warped or JJs); Random Stoppa goes right up to £4, £3 and £2.50 when the m/c is nearing readiness.

This is definitely not the worst Bellfruit I've ever played.

Okaaay ...

My nearby Manic Miner appears to have been chipped. I have no idea why, or what the problem was, but it felt like I was playing a different machine today.

The reels now spin very slowly (all the time), the board movement has slowed considerably, and the attract mode is different. Said machine, full and not refilled, proceeded to charge me £92 for a £35 top.

Anyone heard anything?

Only the "Elite" know this. And the "Elite" are getting smaller and smaller in numbers. Must have a direct link or close indirect link to the programmers/testers. The DOND has taught this "Elite" a lesson or two to tighten their belts.

Anyone had a top feature bigger than £55 on Manic Miner yet?

Best I've managed is a £35 top followed by a £55 top next board. But nothing above £55 in one go.
