i once had a blazing row with a workmate about this. i said albania and she said slovenia.

You are correct, it is Albania - although I would have accepted Macedonia cos I'm a benevolent Cardinal.

Which bit am I missing- it said Skopje when I wikkied it just now?
Was Skopje in Albania when she was born or something like that?

Sorry, I'm talking out my arse. Her family was Albanian, but she was born as you say in Skopje, which is now in Macedonia.
