Vortex..... AHHHHHHHH!!!
Something doesn't seem right with some people as far as this goes.
I've got 3 Vortex that I play 1 -2 times a week each and only once has it been stubborn and took £100+ for a top. And Mr Red is right, when it takes the piss it goes big, had a £35/£70/£25/£15 after taking £150 for the 1st top.

I was playing this the other day just to have a go at some of the features (not tried forcing a Red yet). It was offering random £8 nudge wins, but inbetween doing those 3-2-1 boards:
1 nudge no win board, start on 3 bonus, offers extra life, higher > 2, higher > 1.
I think I got Super Streak at some point too from knockouts, went for about £25. Broke even in the end, £55 for £55.

Storm Force. It awards steps along the notes based on what number is showing in the middle panel. Also If the number is a bonus number it'll turn the notes red.bellcrest wrote:Another question.
What's the best hidden on this m/c?
Only played this machine twice.

WHY oh why would you give up on the gambles for top!!Slug For A Butt wrote:Got one of these near me this week, was flashing me reds most times I got a board. Flattered to deceive, after losing far too many gambles at £10 I took smaller wins and walked out about £30 up as my wife joined me for a friday drink after work... I dread to think how much I'd have been down when she walked in if I'd carried on trying to force it.
I'm confused by this little fella.
I made the mistake of gonig on one of these with £150,, I had to start colelcting stuff, I couldn't get above the £40 mark, then I with the confidence of an extra life, it gave me a £70 top. Kinda how I used to play stack attacks,. Ended up £50 down.MrRed wrote: If forcing a red i would have no less than £200+ on me just in case
When this m/c behaves like this after showing early, i find it likes to do £70/£35 or £70/£70 or had this once £35/£35/£35/£70
Of course these outcomes could still result in a loss
Thats reds for you
The streak over all did about £170 though, as I recycled at lot of wins, it wouldn't stop going red until I got the 70 top.
But apart from that, and another similar experience I've had many many good ones.
You just have to realise tat the m/c spinning in £10 means Nothing. Theres a BIG difference from being £10 ready and £35 ready.
you have actually had a situation where the extra life has been of some use
, the extra life is an absolute waste of time IMO. on another note I was on a vortex on the super streak on a bonus 10 the other day so bashed it expecting features and it landed on no lose [not slow down] very very rare, but a nice easy top

I think the only main these will streak big and leave you well up is redness off nothing. If you chase one that offers £8/£10s but isn't red (yes i am guilty here, and probably so are a few others!) it just loses on super streak like 5-10 times before going in. Often you only break even in this instance. On all red ones i've had £35/£70, and a magical £105 off £30 odd. Only got 1 left here mind, still a good hit once a week.

"Sixty percent of the time, it works, every time!"
ONLY Break even?!?! Do you ever lose matt? These are so easy to get to £8/10, means absolutely nothing, if I do one and it gives £70/105, stick £15 back in on 50p mega spins and it will come back in - do you think you'll get evens playing it from this state eh??!?!Mattb wrote: If you chase one that offers £8/£10s but isn't red (yes i am guilty here, and probably so are a few others!) it just loses on super streak like 5-10 times before going in. Honestly some of you guys speak like reds are sure profit and if you are to take a dodgy one on you "ONLY" get evens - complete rubbish.
only 1?? they are everywhere down here, played maybe 50+ different ones!!! Honestly the £8/10 means nothing at all in terms of readiness for streak/top, it can be £100+ from this stage to red- this means you LOSE, not money back, you LOSE!Mattb wrote:I know you can lose mate - i'm only speaking from my experience here as we only have 1 vortex to play. I know some places have say 5+ around town which adds to your woes i know.
Yes i do lose btw, just not very often!![]()
I've took loads of losses on these in the past month, thats the state of play these days - unless you only take on ones that are red straight away (in which case you will hardly ever play one). Despite this, am well up on the machine... all you are doing on these new 50p mega spin reds imo is pumping em if full and hoping they go red quick, it's a simple gamble, there is NO skill/judgement requirements WHATSOEVER on them, so long as you know when the machine is properly red.
A couple of my less careful friends have been stung on this before. They've got lucky on it a few times and been of the opinion, "oh, it's showing super streak and going red, it's there for it..." It can cost loads from that stage, over a ton quite often. I never find them properly redding and therefore have never really played these, they look disgusting.
