I test it on 50p too start with, then when i'm happy its playing is switch too 50p mega. made just over £80 on one of these earlier, full first pound and showing all blue boards, just about too walk and it gives random stoppa for 2 nudges and its lit up like a christmas tree
first machine of the day too, and i've missed it a few times recently.
Cheers Eddie. Worked like a treat.
A couple of half red boards so opted for the force. Cost about £40 for a £35 top then next board ARB1 but killed me then next went up again for another £35 but some nice afters gave me £90 odd off £50 odd.
Down side was I got stung by a £35 Holey Moley. Ths is the 1 red machine i hardly ever do well on. Cost £90 for a flat £35 then died on its arse.
I find this ok but i have lost on it a few times
It throws in £8 on 50p mega spins when it's not ready
It did this yesterday after £10 in, it gives £8 nudge win
Cost me £110 for top, which luckily did £70 then a few features to get £80ish back
I play them on normal sometimes to see how they are doing
Managed a £35 then a £70 today from £60 in
This will throw £8 + £10 all day long when not ready. It will also give you super streak when not ready too. I play it on normal to start with then switch to mega if it is not quite ready. Then when I think it is switch back to normal to until I get a proper red board then back up to mega.
This works fine for me and i'm having some cracking results of these of late.
Can someone tell which of the hidden features is which? Blizzard Series is the only obvious one there and I have had red/green lines very cheaply before when I didn't want to/have time to play on.
Its just a joke sometimes. Just a complete random mix of readiness, ARB1 boards with £1 there, then an all blue board, then a £10 nudge win which goes to Super Streak and dies, followed by a £5 cash death higher on a 2.
I have 1 brand spanker here which i chased today and luckily just scraped evens despite it being so ready. Went flat £35 4 times before finally relenting and doing £70. Such a pain in the arse, and having seen a few do this, i'll be on my wits. Just seems to be the worst bits of Stack Attack, Invincible and Pulsation whacked together.

Yes, I have experienced just this as well. As someone else here said, it can offer blue/red 7s and even super streak all day and actually be nowhere near. I consider lots of reds when low down nudges or when no big win near to be one of the few 'genuine signs' on this.
It can be quite scary when it offers you £10 like 6 boards in a row then kill at the £5 for abotu 10 after that! you have no idea WHERE you stand.
Vortex are best played on 50p normal play IMHO. Gives lots of frequent boards so it's easy to see what state the machine is in. It does chuck the odd fake red board in when it's not yet ready but it's pretty easy to spot because you die 1st or 2nd gamble and the bonus won't award a feature chance.
One of my many nearby Vortex machines was taking an age to break through the SS block - when it finally did it gave £70 and immediately chucked a 3 on the reels for 12 nudges and another tenner, with the red hiddens available. Another top coming here, methinks.
The gamble lost, but went up within a few more quid, another £70 top.
£125 hopper = oh dear.
Why oh why hasn't this been sorted out yet? The machine ended up being switched off for the rest of the day, unable to recoup (very annoying as it was Friday in a busy pub) and I was paid the £11 IOU from the till. I half thought about simply chucking 11 coins in and making sure I lost - but why should I have to, just to stop the machine from IOU-ing?
Sort it out! :x
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy
The £25 DOND BTB (Bellfruit) in my nearest local has just been replaced by two machines, Jailbirds (Extreme) and Vortex (both 30/50p dual £35's). I was short of cash but had £1.20 in Vortex as I'd never seen it before and to see if any beer money was there. Ended up taking 'Whirlwind' on blue as I had ropey numbers on an ABB1 board, think it's some sort of win stepper, gave £4 off two different wins (£1.60 then £2 IIRC).

i've had this happen too me a few times on reds, still waiting for an IOU £16 myself. there being a bit funny about it because i had an IOU £19 a couple of weeks before.

Got to disagree with that
If it goes red with a £3 win or under and no lines there, then it is 'there' simple as that
Just because it dies first gamble, or does not give feature shot does not matter
I bet if you forced it from that you would be fine
