Newish Player - Money Spider and Nuns N Roses
Newish Player - Money Spider and Nuns N Roses
I play at 2 of my local pubs with a few friends and the 2 main machines are money spider and Nuns and Roses, on money spider i find even when playing nice you never hit the JP i have never seen a JP spun on it in the 6 months it has been there and only 2 mega streaks but it seems to pay out nicely on the £10 and SS which i find quite nice.
nuns and roses i havent played much so il add more when iv seen how that goes. I would like some help if anyone could give me some on these 2 machines and on the general talk like how to force machines etc. because to be honest i dont really understand a lot i read on the forums.
Thanks in advance for any help

Against the voting here, I'm going to go for Money Spider. Although I'll agree that NnR is a lot easier to read in terms of when it's 'ready', and, it also has the SSS appeal.
I 'enjoy' playing Money Spider and clones, there's a lot going on - fair do's - most of the features are crapper than a blocked bog, but it's not that difficult to snare out a big win / cashpot / top if you know what you're doing...

Nuns every time for me. Hate MS and all of the games media garb, i don't agree at all they are easy to snare big pots. Boards are so rigidly blocked its untrue. Seeing as 80-90% of the time you play them the block is at £4-£5, they are trash really.

Interesting to see the difference of opinions here...
I 'm just not a fan of the 3-hi/lo machines I guess, which of course skews my views, so to speak. The predictable deaths on 2's and 11's is just so annoying, with usually little over £3 being offered. On the other hand however, if caught at the right time, when SSS is on offer, they can turn a tidy profit. You'll have to forgive me, but is Nuns a 'stack' or 'scatter shot' machine? It's been a while since I've played one! If it's a 'stack' version, then it is certainly better than t'other variety.
On that point, I was at my local last night with a pal for a swift pint before going home. He was playing some 3-hi/lo jobby that was purely abysmal. I can't remember the name, but the middle hi/lo (when activated) spins a wheel with cash values from £1 to £10 on it, adding to the cash pot. It's got some nutty professor bloke on the front with crazy hair and eyes (lol!). Death would inevitably come after three or four gambles. The cash shots that are available are 90% either a £5 or below, with only the £10 and £25 as the bigger wins (and how often were they offered? Nitto!). On the feature side, all features offered £3, except the Super Streak / Mega Streak. After £30 in he got a Red MS which went for a flat £25. I've seen a lot of people play this trash and say 'they like it'. What is it called? And more to the point, what are these people on?!
I'd much prefer a Money Spider / Money Magic over that!
Although MattB: I'd not put a Buck Bunny / Billy the Quid / Full Metal Jackpot / Fruits U Sir over as something I'd endorse!! These are crud versions that do seriously block at £4-£5 pretty much every board, unless the big streak is on course...

Thanks for the replies i still havent had much chance to play N 'n' R because idont drive and its a tough pub to get to but them oney spider i played the other night and i went home £10 up which i was chuffed with first tenner i hit absolutely nothing went ontheb oard 2ce getting kicked off within 5 spins and then witht he next tenner first board i hit a red arachnophobia giving me £12 which isnt good for arachnophobia and then i hit 2 SS's in succession getting 7 and then 9 on the red then got a £2 in the money before hitting the ? so i decided id take the cash lol that is when i decided to leave it ! but i find this machine streaks then just dies completely after that no money or boards are offered and my mate lost £15 trying :P
Money Spider can be OK for quick beer money steals, £2 in £5 odd out kind of thing, cash stack can be collected on a Mystery.
I don't like the way the pseudo-skill is done on these machines, it scrolls through the selections really slowly as though it was a true skill, but obviously does not give you what you hit.
