smoking ban

Post by danthedude66 »

am i the only one that thinks that this is going to effect our business??

i personally would rather be smoking at home with a can than in the pub so swede heads are likely to be the same.

maybe its just me though??

I agree, less people in the pub, less people playing machines.

Its a great time for the manu's to get some real online awp's up and running, so we can sit at home with a few cans and however many tabs we want

I don't know, depends if you think of a pub as just for drinking rather than socialising. If you're talking about casuals filling up the machines, then people are still going to go the the pub with their mates and chuck the last few quid into the machines. They might have to nip out for a tab, but there's no way they'll start meeting in their sitting rooms instead of the boozer. ;)

Personally looking forward to it...! Nothing like a nice smoke-free environ. Although I will admit that sometimes a bit of smoke does add to the atmos, but I'd still rather do without.

Who's gonna be the first to jump on a 'smokers' machine as they go outside for that 'must have' fag...

I take the view that people not smoking will drink that little bit more instead - and plenty will get so miffed about not being able to smoke that they'll cut down anyway ... but they won't desert the boozers.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Ah, well, I was just using the term "sitting room" to describe the vast, lushly carpeted and Louis XVI-furnished area where we park the 144" flatscreen when we're not at the place in Monaco. Didn't want to make you feel inadequate. ]are[/i] in the Monaco place, I rent that room out to cricket teams.

There's perhaps a possibility that when someone's mates desert them to go outside for a fag they will get bored and launch a few quid in to the machines. I don't think there will be much of a difference overall.

I've noticed a big difference since the smoking ban came in here in Scotland. People don't stay at one bar for the whole night now, they'll have one or two drinks then go to another bar and have a puff on the way. I've also noticed a lot less people playing the fruities now. If you go on the force and your on your own you get sharked alot more( you can smell the smoke on people no prob). Finally careful if you go outside for a fag up here you aren't allowed to take your drinks outside with you, this means barmen come and take your drink away or worse still some lowlife spikes your drink.

yea hthats rediculous that you cant take your drink outside, you spend 5-6 quid on one inside the club then put it down next to the exit to go have a smoke and come back and some little idiot has run away with your drink, its shit

it all depends whether the pub has a pavement license or not - if they have trhen your alowed to take and drink your drinks outside on the designated pavement space.
