lcd telly

Post by itsme »

just bought a new lcd tv today, not bad, silver 32 inch.

i got it home only to find it was a different telly from what i wanted.anyway.....i took it back to the shop and did a swap for the one i want. after i tuned all the chanels in and wired up the sky box i found that the sky channel is not a great picture,it seems to have a grain effect running through it.

i have fine tuned all the other channels and they seem ok to watch but its just the sky one whats pi$$ing me off.....

any ideas anyone ??

Do you mean Sky One, the channel of that name - or all the Sky channels have the grainy interference?

If it's all of them then it's usually a misaligned dish or a dodgy LNB.

Sounds like a dodgy scart lead to me. Have you tried using a different one?

Was the Sky picture OK before you got the new TV?

I have replaced the old scart lead with a gold one like you said. The old one was knackered. I pulled it out of the back of the new telly and the metal bit seperated from the plastic casing...anyway...got a great picture now...... cheers fellas.....i'll send you a few beers soon :D
