Hmmmm i think that the main problem here is not what you do jeff, but the way in which you blatantly brag about it.
Personally there is nothing that riles me (and a good few others on here) more than benefit cheats, it is theft, and it is our money that you are stealing at the end of the day.
I do not have a problem with any of your other posts, but i would say that if you cannot see that what you are doing and bragging about it is wrong, then that would conclude for me anyway what kind of person you are

[quote="""]I honestly beleive that if you are playing full time then making say £40-£100ish a day then the need of claiming is no need.
Spot on there anfield.
If you are any sort of a player you must be making at least 500 a week, and if so why would you want to claim jobseekers allowance?
I have made a living from playing for about 3 years now and the thought of claiming benefits has not even entered my head.

I can see where JVs coming from.
I have paid taxes forever, if you can screw them for anything, you do.
Pay tax on earnings, anything I buy and then when I die, my kids (if I have any lol) will have to pay that stupid inheritence tax!
Problem is, Jeff openly tells us all about it and I sense a hint of envy.

Don't forget
Traffic Wardens (Now local authority little hitlers)
speed cameras
£80 fine in post if car tax late
The TV Licence (not very democratic)
Councillors salaries rise 3xabove inflation.
Council tax up above inflation accordingly.
Councillors employ c onsultants for feasibilty studies into trivial things.
Just a very small selection

To be fair though....
Don't flout parking regulations and traffic wardens needn't bother you.
Don't break the speed limit and you won't be done for speeding.
Do your car tax in time and don't get fined £80
The TV license is worth it IMO for the BBC TV/web (best tv service and news service in the world)
I will agree about Council Tax being a bit steep though....seems to go up and up with no real improvement. Basically its overspend and waste on beaurocracy, make up deficit with tax. Very annoying!

I pay car tax, I expect to park for free on the Queens Highway., if I nip in to a shop for 30 seconds, rest ussured the wardens will be in attendance. Our council employs 30 wardens to cover the town centre and othe surrounding areas. Its only a medium sized town. A warden is paid £16,000 per annum each. The cost of this obviously bumps the price to park up. Another rip off. These are the same wardens ticketing hard working traders in the town for overstaying loading time etc. Why cannot councillors and appointed executives of the council show a caring respectable decent approach to its constituents. Again another reason why I don't care too much for this government (or the tories) for that matter.
I don't condone speeding but have you ever been stuck behind a car doing 28mph for 5 miles. Very frustrating.
Car Tax - maybe not everyone can budget for this on time, so the punter is being screwed with another stealth tax.
And the TV Licence. Yes, the content is good (excluding daytime TV and BBC3 and 4 don't air till 7pm), but if I want to watch BBC, then I should have the democratic option to subscribe to it, not it forced upon me by law.

Don't know if you noticed - when you buy your car tax it has the expiry date printed in big bold letters on the disk - usually giving you 6 or 12 months notice as to when it runs out. Enough time in most peoples book IMO.jeffvickers wrote:

you want to rant about a real stealth tax then look no further that speed camera's and the change in law that allows police to put them anywhere not just on accident blackspots.
as mentioned though, if you obide by the law and dont speed, you wont be done by it. its another tax on the stupid. Its like complaining when you get with criminal damage and asked to pay a fine then claiming it isnt fair.
The TV license fee is unbelievable though; Will they ever stop getting away with it?!
