yes agree with toothless, there's alot of luck involved nowadays - you need a few good red gaming results and you can do fine... some days you can achieve this easily, some days they piss you about something chronic and you end up about evens or slightly down on the day...

jeff the only reds you know your not going to lose on, are showing ones, acutally even then you can lose now and again when they fuck you about; although ones that are full and rarely played out are of course a lot LESS likely to do you over (also of course good ones like GADD etc. vs shit like kings ransom the same applies)

If you are a pro, its all about having more knowledge than just playing the machine, ie. refill key, float days, knowing where addicts play, knowing where other players play. Yes, I will lose on a few Reds a day, but usually no more than a £5 a machine which will usually make itself back with machines which are showing, + Some Mazoomas, Extremes (obviously) and some Barcrests always have an over 50% success rate so yes, I do make a profit EVERYDAY. Over the last year, only 1 day have I lost money.

I'm thinking of laying off fruities for a bit, been playing almost daily for two weeks now, had a completely shit experience with Pie Factory yesterday, three boards in a row went as far as £15 on cash stack then would go straight to a ? for LOSE, then every board after that would go straight to a ? then die.

Seems to have a block at £15 (£4 on £5 JP version).

Reds are pissing me off at the moment, always bloody dead and/or fake showing, the past ten Reds I've played have never gone further than second gamble on boards (they LOVE to kill on 11s and 2s).

I think this is a general point to a few people....

By constantly exagerating, and highlighting profit you make, disregarding losses, you are getting more people regularly into the game with overly optimistic views on profit they are going to make, which is not what we want now is it, it's hard enough as it is...

OK you cant stop the proliferation of players, but lets not add to it....

Anyone who's thinking this is an easy ride is in for a shock, a few people I knew saw me doing it and quit their job and started playing, and in the end they all ended up back in work, it's not as simple as it sounds...

Spot on. For people bragging about profits, this place is for MOST people to come and tell lies about how much they're winning, when they're either down or at a push a few quid up. That's why when they actually do get around to winning a big amount they put a thread up saying 'yeesss, just got £100 out of this red' etc. It's an addiction and posting here helps you feel better about it.

I do admit I like to go quids in with a mate on reds when we're out, but £5 to £10 each at a max maybe once, twice a week and generally we either break even(ish) or make a few beer quids. It's good fun in small doses.

I agree completely.

Though it may appear to some people on here that i lie about how much i win.....i honestly don't! I estimate i've made around £4000-£5000 since xmas without a job. I was £1500 overdrawn from my student life then, and now i'm £1,700 in credit which i reckon is a good effort. I spend a fair bit and go out most days of the week too, so it works out well. Obviously being reasonably bright and having a degree i don't want to keep doing this all the time.....but until a decent enough job rolls along, its all good.

say you have made £5000 since christmas then that is roughly £217 a week which is very achieveable, specially if you catch a few reds, of cause you need some luck but you also need too know wot your doing.

Aye exactly. It's hardly mega amounts is it.....i reckon i could make more, but i only go out twice or 3 times a week most of the time and that does me. Can't be bothered to do more usually. As long i've got enough to pay my rent and have as least as much as i had week ago then i'm a happy bunny.

Being severely overdrawn has given me a money complex anyway - can't stand being skint, and i try and make sure it never happens! 8)
