We have had this discussion before! 3 pound starting is a good enough sign to start forcing. 2.40 isn't as it can offer this at random, even when the machine is dead.

Lukestar, trust..... u force from a 3 pound start and im confident a lot of people will feel the same.

£4 start? Had one of these like this on Sunday, had cash pot jump after £9 but no repeat, should have milked it, but decided to try for another pot as I thought I still wouldn't be more than £25 in of my own money to get another pot whch may have gone for £50 or £75. Next one didn't repeat either but with set-ups managed to sack it with £52 from £30 in. In hindsight it would have been better to milk it after the first £25, but I still made £22 on it anyway.

If I do happen to find one £3 starting (consistenly of course) then I would go for the force, but I have also had these cost £40 - £50+ from £3 starts.

Was playing a doc & Nur a few weeks back that was £3 starting. Got the cashpot jump after £20 in but no repeat. Began milking, got a nudge rip pot a few boards later which went for £75! Don't really understand that but it was good profit none the less!!

Its all about personal opinion, I would generally force from 2 or 3 consistent £3 starts, but sometimes that has been the wrong decision, but the great thing about knowing all the sets and rips is that, if it is the wrong decision then the loss will be a few quid rather than £20 or £30.

The main thing around my area is that its such a god damn miracle to find one £3 starting that you have to go for it because its a once a month opportunity!!

Obviously I must stress, that the above all relates to chipped ones!!!

i've had 2 £5starters within 200 yards of each other  very rare i must say makes you wonder whats gone on before, i have pushed it from £3 starting and its always been fine... i always find that the £4 start is not that far behind the £3 start so push on i say or maybe i'm just lucky?? either way i go for £3 starters :)

Not being big headed but I have made a 5 figure sum since last May on these type of machines and I assure you £3 IS READY TO FORCE. 2.40 IS NOT. If you cannot manipulate your set-ups to the max then your profit margins may not be as big.

You've made at least £10,000 then? Yeah, course you have....

As if anyone makes £250 a week, every week on the extremes....

Force from £4 definetly. Not much difference from a £3 and £4 start if you ask me.

Look at the shots/nudges aswell, if start on 4 worth a force even if the cash is low.

no one can make £250 of extremes every week??? :? :? :?
its easy done on my runs i have 15 unchipped and about 20 chipped ones just once a week doing them would make over that. i do them at leat 2-3 times.
for example i done 1 unchipped 1 on sunday midday and made 65 on it with a nudge rip jp rpt. went back monday lunch and it was dropping and £3 starting and made another 50 on it thats 115 on 1 in 2 days.
fat fat fat i tell you

i am not gonna get into the debate on how much can be made
£3 forcing has never cost me more than £25
You can still make £20 on a chipped one starting at £1.20-£1.60
Of course not always the case
Sometimes its about a fiver make

So if you have a few and not many people are doing them then you can make a fair bit
