Yes you lose on a few machines, but over a day you are playing many machines which usually leads to an overall profit. Although very occasionly you may end up losing on a day; this is still reflected by my figure, as often you would make over £20/hour.

Before anyone that is not a player gets excited thinking they can also do it let me mention 3 things:

1) you will not have enough playing knowledge.
2) you will not have a good enough route - your area is probably already covered so profit is very difficult.
3) you will not have enough discipline.

- back to the day job! Like all the chavs who did extremes' will be going...

I've made 55 today in three hours so £18.33p an hour, thats after drinks and petrol, and that is each... so if i was on my own it would have been £36.66.

I would like too carry on for 10 hours a day and keep this hourly rate up but you can only play whats there/ready. not lost over all on a single day. for ages [watch me lose now tomorrow  ]

I lost about 50 odd when i was in York the last couple of days. I can't believe its the same plaace that was a goldmine while i was at uni! No ready machines anywhere, lost a fair whack just testing. Luckily there was a 50p OAR in the club, and i raked a bit back!

Made £90 odd today though which was nice! Had a pulsation do an £80 top on me, and a brand spanking new pulsation do £55. Turned off in the bowl, so i turned the bugger on! Almost ready from the off! Methinks someone lost on it and got in a strop, was nowt wrong with it! 8) :D

Speaking of Addicts

Last night i saw a guy plaing a Money Magic
He went through £30 before it offered anything decent £10
He refused it and died
Next board he collects £4

That goes back in along with another £10 he changes at the bar
Another £10 changed and back in the m/c wins nothing

Another £20 changed and back in some boards collecting some not
All goes back in
Opens wallet no money left
Asks barmaid to watch m/c
Nips to bank
£20 changed at Boots across the road cos the pub has none left
That goes in no wins taken
Back to the bar with £10 last orders
They tell him they only have £7 in change and they need it in case someone wants a drink
He asks for a pint which is £2.30 and tells them he will take what they have which is £7

That goes in and he wins £10
Puts it back in and then walks out looking destroyed

That is an addict

I went on the LAB at the side of him
Realised after the first board which cost £3, it was dead, left it, sat down and had a drink
There is the difference

lace myself into a slot between casual and semi-pro.
I'd say there's a range of 'programmer' types on here as well, from the mildly bent through to fantastic scamtastic  Press 'Collect' at both ends :)

its depressing reading that.. Makes Me realise really that my gambling problems are remote compared to some peoples..

I still maintain that the reason why I / we gamble is because we want to be rich, and not work ever... Works for some, but not for most..I know that feeling when Ive lost all me cash, all the machines are playing well, and i rue the days they weren't playing at all, and I forced them anyways.. No discipline..
I always want to kill my self, but dont see the point... I live through two or so weeks till I get paid again, and at the same time think Why do I do it!?!?!?!?!?!? Well, repeat reading this post........................

I also blame my parents too much.. I save around £300 a month now, aswell as pay board, I flip all the time about it 'I will never see that cash - I want it now now now' But I know id just be stupid with it if I got it, so I can see why they dont let me have it. I constantly say to friends 'they are twats for not letting me have any of that money' I totally understand, despite the massive frustration.
I think the only thing that has kept me alive, is the place i live. When Summer comes round, its the only time you really want to be alive, winter is shite!

I remember being in a Wetherspoons with some mates in London the other week. Some foreign looking guy was playing D&N for at least an hour and a half. I got up to get the next round in and the next thing I know, the guy started screaming at the machine yelling "NO LOSE! NO LOSE! IT SAID NO LOSE!", then marched up to the bar yelling "REFUND. NOW! I PUT £55 IN MACHINE AND WIN NOTHING, IT'S RIGGED!". Girl behind the counter rightly said they don't give refunds to players who lost on the fruit machines, then he just called her a whore and walked straight out the place yelling something like "I'm a problem gambler and I'm going to kill myself!". No machine would go £55 without offering anything, even if it was dead. He must have been recycling wins.

Different types of addict. Compare it to alcohol, you get down and outs that will spend every penny they have on it and need to be in a constantly drunken state but you also get a huge number of functioning alcoholics i.e. they hold down a job and can support a family. For me the main problem was not the money it was the time. You could spend a Saturday in town from 11a.m to 6p.m and if you're disciplined and don't play for the sake of it you can end up a few quid up or down but you've lost a good portion of your weekend. You can hit the odd big winner but you can't EVER rely on it.

Even in the pub all you're really concentrating on is the bandit, to win on the awp's you have to be aware of them and again you could spend a couple of hours focusing on it and all it may do is suggest you have a decent chance (no guarantees) of winning a few quid.

If you're one of these dudes who reckon they can clear £100 - £300 or perhaps even more EVERY day then good luck to you but you should probably invest in some property while you have the chance as the longer you play the slimmer the odds of profiting will become.
