Anyone play these? Have had decent success with both.

Hangman also has a daft 'progressive' jackpot that rarely goes over £30.

Just working out the numbers on DOND. Assuming it isn't fixed it appears to have an average return of 95.46p for every £1 staked. So at best it would appear to be a simple negative expectation game of chance like roulette.

Hangman is a good idea on ladbrokes, just poorly executed. ( No punn intented ) It rips your arm off when you start to play properly, as if it fooled you into playing as a newbie then takes you for a mug!

I hadn't played this one before but just had a go at the Demo version and (guess what?) won the £55 Jackpot on my first go, without even needing to get to the end of completing 'THE THIN BLUE LINE'. I assume the real game is just as generous?

One thing that did make me laugh was a suitable entry for QuizMaster's Hall of Shame:

Q. Which of these Italian cities isn't on the coast?

A. Milan
B. Marseilles
C. Naples

Luckily for my virtual £55 it wanted Milan...

Yeah don't worry about getting the progressive on the real game. Amazing how it quickly lets you get 4 coins and then the fifth is non-existent.

Which, even if it didn't say JPM in the game, would be a sure sign that they'd done it

I won the £10 for £1 on DOND and then staked the £10.

Ended up with the £100 and £25(?), accepted £60.

So if it's in the mood....

wonder how many questions hangman has? wonder if demo questions are same as the real thing?

a good programmer could make a bot to 'autoplay' in demo version, randomly picking answers, saving the correct answers, leave on for a couple of days...

but that would be immoral?

Pointless as well I'd imagine. You've only got to look at the difficulty of the questions in demo mode compared to real mode to see the difference. I'm guessing there's not much more than about 500 in demo mode

yeah just checked rules. demo is only some of the questions,. also says questions are added regulary. and you can only win £100k per person, per day. not worth playing with such small limits

I'd say they were added regularly! I had my first dabble tonight and ended a whole £2 up after about 10 goes but one question actually referred to the Charlton v Wycombe game that took place on Tuesday night! As for Deal or No Deal, with the lack of any skill element and the mass of smaller prizes that one seems about as exciting as a piece of wet lettuce. Still, each to their own...

Been playing the demo version of these at work for the last few days (Christmas wind-down!

). I assume it's safe to say that DOND is fixed as in the value is not pre-determined before you select a box? And when you up the stakes the jackpot 'Jump' seems to be a bit excessive...

...On a similar note, I wonder if in the future we will actually see 'real' SWP games available for play on-line (at 50p a £1 a go of course

) I know there are similar games available, but I mean 'the actual games' that you'd play on in a pub? Or would that affect the 'sale' of ItBox / Parago'o'ns?
