Hex Appeal Appeal

Post by SWP »

I'd like to get a list of the categories together for Hex Appeal.

Can you help?

Here's a starter for 10:

Birthstones
Biscuit Barrel
Indian Takeaway
Scottish Castles
Stephen King Books

PM me if you want to discuss off-forum or want to swap.

I you want to PM me a list I'll make a sticky thread which anyone can add to by PMing me. That way I'd be able to keep it tidy.

Will PM, meantime anyone wanting to discuss Hex topics with me feel free.

Does this machine compound answers together in an attempt to screw you or is "Vivaldiberlioz" a one-off? Anyone else seen answers like this?

Can anyone add to the list of dodgy answers for hex:
footballer=szilaro nemeth
country=dubai
composer=Vivaldiberlioz

I dont know how this would really help you matey. For starters some of the catagories look too broad ie boys names, girls names, some are obscure ie welsh first names, scottish clans, and some of them are just bizarre and arbitrary ie abbrieviations!

good luck anyway and have pmd you those other lists

Good luck... are you intending to make a complete list from the internet, or just list the ones that you see when playing the game? I reckon about half of the above (maybe more) can be covered by making lists of the obvious things.

The problem is in categories where there are loads of options and we don't know which are/aren't in the game. Like computer languages or abbreviations, or places.

As for dodgy answers, there are some elsewhere on this forum http://www.fruitchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1301&start=0

I have also had Manchuria and Biafra in countries, James Scrowcroft in premiership footballers.

Also in "Things in the Bedroom", had Whip.

My all time favourite in Chinese takeaway was "Click here to go back to menu". Outstanding.

Now that's a quality post if you pardon the pun - thanks.

I was just bemoaning DACTYL as a PLANETARY moon (it's an ASTEROIDAL moon)

I wonder how many people in the world could tell you that without looking it up. Thankfully it is in the half-finished Hex database I made then got too bored to finish.
