power problem on scorpion 4 board and sanken power supply

Post by stivheys »

hi this is my first post and this is my first machine i am enquiring about.

my machine is a mazooma tic tac 2

i bought this machine yesterday as faulty as only the bottom lamps work,
the board itself is a scorpion 4 and when i power it on the only green led that lights up to show power is the 48v one (which im assuming is the one that powers the bottom lamps)

i have replaced the battery on the board as it was leaking a little and thought it may help fix the problem but all is still the same, i have checked the fuses and from what i can see they seem fine.

has anyone else had this problem before? im assuming its a problem with the power supply itself and was wondering if anyone can confirm this before i source a new one or if anyone has any possible solutions to fix this without a new supply. sorry if i havent given enough information this is my first time working on these.

thanks in advance :)

it wont be the power supply unit else nothing would come on if it was knackered.most likely the battery leak has messed the board up im afraid

thanks for the reply the battery leak was only small and only covered part of the battery and didnt leak onto the board except for a small amount of residue on a couple of the solder points on one or two resistors next to it would it be worth replacing the resistors? they look pretty good besides that and the under side is perectly clean so the connection looks to be good
