Poxy Internet Connection

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Hi All,

Not been around for a week as my stupid wireless router at home has been on the blink, and 'AOL (AO-Hell!) Helpdesk' is worse than trying to order an indian from a chinaman in romania!

Anyways, can log on at work, so, Hi!!!

Yup, I was on the phone for a good 45 minutes and the final response was "Well, insert the CD that came with your modem and try re-installing!"

Cheers!

The only reason I'm still stuck with AOL was that I got with them over 7 years ago and just haven't got around to changing. (To be fair, I hadn't had any problems previous to this).

Looking on the net though, it seems that 'everyone' who has AOL didn't use their setup CD to get everything working, as it ballses up all the settings... Jeez...

Are you using a wireless router?

Sometimes it is not the service provider that is at fault but the configuration of the router.

Hiya, yup I'm using a wireless router. Managed to reset it all correctly and it's all working now. The main problem was that my extension lead had been somewhat severed by a cat that has now had a quiet word from my boot! ;)
