fruit machine not accepting coins,

Round the town not accepting coins, bell fruit

Hi guys

I have bought a fruit machine that has been sitting up for a few years.After reading some of the previous posts I have got the machine to fire up properly as the*Battery on the main circuit board was crystallised and machine was tripping out.Now it fires up and runs as normal.*

The problem is I cannot get it to accept coins*I have cleaned the mech, put a float in the hopper tubes and checked the wiring.*
I am wondering if I have to wipe the machines fault code memory if it has one?
Or is there something simple that im not doing ?

I am a not a fruit machine expert but I do have some knowledge.Any help would be greatly appreciated.*

The machine is a bell fruit round the town from 1993, the coin mech is a mars 126.

i would try a new coin mech.

i am pretty sure the mars 126 mech was not around in 1993, so probablly wrong mech/faulty mech

I have spoken to the guy who owned the machine before me and he has assured me that the last time he used the machine it was in perfect working order even with the current coin mech.
I have thoroughly cleaned it so im assuming that its working correctly.

I may have to buy a new one and see if it works because I cant see what else it could be.

i would try going in to test mode and reseting any errors it may have
