Backing, £8 and hi/lo silver on first board. Plenty enough to tempt me, so i off i went. Took a full £60 (with 3 £25 dead boards) to get King Streak, which went for a cracking £25. Carried on with it, and was soon offered the £25 shot again. Sacked that off for another KS, which took another £40 to get for another £25. Very annoyed at this point, i played for another KS which cost me about £30, and went for £42 this time. After all that nonsense, i'd gone £130 in with £92 back. £40 odd down then. Tried for a bit of afterplay, and after £11 in for a board i only got £3. Thought to myself, one bloody more, which cost another £10 for £6 back.

Totals £150 in £100 out. What's the bloody point, all my weekend hard work undone by one stubborn bastard of a machine.

Not Impressed! :x :x :x

Very much so. I was extremely pissed off, ass all my good work had been thrown away by one blag of a machine. I know it happens, but as i play less these days, when i do lose it annoys me that bit more.

Hmph.

There's nothing worse than losing your profit on a backing machine!!! I once walked into an arcade and won £250 (profit) within 30 minutes. Never been so lucky in all my life! On the way out I thought I'd try a quick quid in a Bar X - £25 and £10 version. To my luck it was backing! I thought nice one - an easy twenty to be made - at least! £200 quid later I got a jackpot!! The machine had been hammered earlier and hand filled by the scumbag attendant who said fuck all to me - even though I was a regular and very friendly with the staff for obvious reasons.

That was about 6 years ago and still winds me up today!

KingKerdon'tevenbother is my usual approach to these. I had a touch yesterday though, £8 in and offered the £25 shot which repeated to my amazement, then a skill cash after :)

Nah, they are good machines. I like KKC, Hot Shot and Jewel In The Crown quite a lot actually.

You know too well when they are dead. Onto the board. First spin either higher for a 10, or lower for pay rise or something. First shot £3rp. Just take it and run if it does that. If not, decide what state its in, and you shouldn't do too badly.

I like this m/c

If offered £6/£8 shot or Bash The Cash, Good Times, Knockout Skill and its full, just force for King Streak
Others may disagree but most of the time i have had another IM or IM not long after the first streak

Played one last week

First King Streak cost £25
Went for £29

Then £6 back in hidden IM got Reel Crazy which went for £44

Not many left near me
Got a few Jewels In The Crown but not really played them

You lot must have a lot more luck on these than I do. I generally push them if showing £8 shot but don't ever really make on them, usually because the post-top board can cost a lot. I've only had one proper streak from about 50 attempts, took the best part of a ton out Hot Spot. Usually, if I can get a quick Skill Cash I'll be a happy to walk though, broke-even or lost just too many times from what seemed a safe force. And the gameplay is boring as hell!

I really like these machines. The gameplay switching from feature to cash is great and I love the step feature. Like said, if on 3 cash strikes it throws you an £8, it's easy cash to walk off with. I went 2quid in and got offered £8. Put another quid in to try my luck and get a 10quid repeat chance high up so took it thinking it would be £20 but it was just £10. Im always chuffed to walk about with even £5 up for a few pints even if it's considered small profit for some people, i'd rather stay ahead of a game a few quid everytime than go all in all the time losing loads and occasionally getting a big payout.
