The industry asked for £10 in the review the outcome of which has yet to be announced. They should really not allow children to gamble at all which would would render Cat D obsolete.

the could "upgrade" any machine to fit into catD so long at the JP/stake was less that the limit. Some would be classed as legacy machines, these would fall under the same stake and jackpot limits, but thing like repeat chance ruls would not apply.

Didnt think about the stake issue lol but I would have thought most machines from the £10 days would have had the multi switch thingy to easily switch it down to 10p. Would be nice to get the jpms back in pubs again :-)

No chance that any supplier would bother putting £10 jps in pubs, some private owners might site the odd machine, either outside the legal framework, must would just find it to much hassle for 1 or 2 machines, when you include the maintenance etc.

If it went to £10 jackpot the stakes would increase to 20p.

know of pubs that have keyday £5jp machines in, they would rather have something than nothing, know a street full of £5jp electrocoins

inland I only know of a handfull of pubs with a £5er in, some spend lot of the time off because the landlord don't get it fixed.

most pubs local here have no machine now, they have a quizzer in place, no machines or have have closed down... 90%of the loactions have gone in places.

Apparently there are 38,000 registered Cat C machines in 2012, down from 63,000 in 2010.this may just include arcades, not sure which criteria was used.

more likely just those in pubs, sounds about right... far more machine than that in arcades, bingo hall etc.

not coastal town or I could say "Towns" I know a few. Once place had a Pie Factory, that went for a deadmans on £70!...that went for a rob the bank on £5 lol
know of another that has a AFU on £5 in a town
I could go on russ lol they are like quizzers...but take loads more than a quizzer, landlord said the £5jp had to be changed more often to keep people playing it, it was taking more than the £70 so he got one back

in a tiny(ish) town centre I can name 3 pubs that have a £5 j/p. i dont know how cat d will work when the new licensing stuff comes in but if theres no duty to be paid like now, i can see alot of licencees taking it up. think about it alot of bandit players will have cut thier teeth on £10 j/ps if the original machines make a comeback they might start playing again....
