“Category B2 machines are tested and approved by an independent test house as already stated. Additionally, both the operator of the betting shop and the machine supplier must be licensed by the Commission.”

Could you please advise me if these reports available under the freedom of information act?

Yours Sincerely,

one way or another, we will all know in the end, how random is random?
Why do you think the Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies to this information request.

The purpose of the act is to obtain information held by government departments and publically owned companies... global draw is a privately owned company, its nothing the need comply with.

If your making request under this act you need to do it to the gambling commission.

They used to work by a feed to SIS sattelite, after 2005 the regualtions where changed to allow B3 games, these allow the random element be processed on site and in the machine.

Just because they changed the source does not mean they rigged them. When the SIS feed sent the numbers out you could push the buttome at the same time to ge the same same result, no matter where you played, what your bet was etc.

anyway aside all this if you think they are bent, why do you play them?

Global Draw;

"We are a leading gaming provider operating more than 18,000 machines
and systems in over 4000 venues worldwide including the UK, Europe,
Latin America and the Caribbean."

"Random numbers can be generated centrally and transmitted to all terminals
within the site by the EPOS computer, or generated within the terminals as required"

i don't think they send a "random number" to 18,000 machines off their ipad.

because there are weaknesses in their "random" number generator that can be exploited for a profit. these weaknesses are most visible for KB slotters. just take 2 seconds to write the numbers down, simple as.

i don't play a scatter gun approach, usually a max of 5 numbers. mostly 1 number.

because £10,000 a shop weekly profit at the expense of a handful of addicts is immoral.

£10k.... some shops maybe, local shops don't make anything near that at the moment.

The operator does not choose to make a £10k profit, its the customer that decides the level of play, length of time and how much they are prepared to lose.

Handful of addicts, if its only a handfull of people whats the issue, how on earth have casinos survived all these years?

Supermarket making millions seliing food, purely as middlemen, abusing those who simply need to eat.

Its not a question of morals, the information is cleary set out in the help section on the screen, if customers choose not to read it then what they ment to do?

Just realised I seem to have forgotten about this thread.

I agree with Russ 100% - in fact he is repeating what I said so I would! It is no more 'wrong' or 'immoral' to open a shop that 'sells' gambling as it is to open 1 that sells food, regardless of the profit levels! If addicts want to gamble, its their choice - no one forces them, however much they may make themselves out to be victims, IT IS DOWN TO THEM!

When is the next Trailblazer reset?

thing what pisses me off is.........you used to always get a half decent film on itv after 12 o'clock....now its fucking roulette.....and these adverts where you can play on your phone, this country is a disgrace, you can even do your plumbs on sky,it would be less harmful to have adverts trying to sell crack.
