Led - possibly. To be fair, I don't get to play these types as often as I do other Reds. Perhaps if it consistently showing all-bar-one red boards, then just try and get them all red instead of trying to top it from the stacks?

LAB - Yup, the one near me must have been around £150 off as well. It 'could' be legit - these can do 'big' tops! ;)

its nothing to do with keying it i hope is it? as i would surely be unlikely to see that money again

also on a full none notey LAB tonight got a £35 top which was bad enough but then took £27 off me for a board that killed on 2 nudges with no win..

its a disgrace that these none noteys are top capable limited but will still take in the same as a full 250 hoppered one.

surely there should be limitations on how much it should take aswell as how much to drop..

never even had that on a normal LAB :(

bad times
When reds do these poor tops (35,40 etc) its the end of it. You have to leave them.

Probably just a coin jam on the RM or the float has been topped up wrong so it thinks it's full but it isn't really.

As for the LAB, don't think it makes a difference if it is note or not. It will give strange amounts on occasions regardless, this is just down to catching it at the wrong time i've found. It's a bitch when it takes that much for a feature though, usually find if it hasn't offered one within a tenner then best to leave it.

Below £100 and the note acceptor goes off Matt.
I am sure its £150

I know this as i keyed a TAW that was £153 off
I tried a board which was showing well.
After i had put £4 in the light came back on
Pretty sure it is £100 Mr Red, if you keyed it and it said £153 off then the float is at £97, you then put £4 in taking it up to £101 thus enabling the note acceptor again.

Then we both have a point dont we?

You mean it goes off when there are less than £100 coins in the hopper

I mean it goes off when it is more than £150 off full, which IS less than £100 coins in the hopper
So we are both saying exactly the same thing, in a different way :D

Just got back from York......found a new DNA up there. I can offically say ive lost badly on here now. Never happened before, but i got mugged badly here!

Full, and the first board after a few quid offered £5rp and blue sevens. Excellent i thought, easy money to be made here. How wrong i was. It proceeded to 'Take Two me (some will know what i mean) and never go past £10. Even banking DNA on crap boards gave no more than £3-£4. Finally after £65 in, a simple pot turned up. Number Runner.....blue sevens on a 2. Higher for a 3+bouns, step to 11, gamble for the top. A lovely flat £25, cheers.

Again, the aftersigns looked ok. Gambled to £4, swapped for the steps and got red bars. They lost, but i thought id plough on anyway. Back went the £25, along with another £40 for another top. This time it was £30, again marvellous. Solace was found in a £10 win after, but i had to scarper then. Finished a good £70 down, and it ruined a good day i was having up until then.

I'd never seen a DNA behave like it. Thoroughly awful to play, and just didn't seem like normal. Another thing i noticed is that it would only give 4 shots when i was £5+. On any other DNA you get 4 shots at the bottom if its playing well, but not this one. Smelt like a different version to me, as i've played about 15 different DNAs and none have behaved like it.

Or maybe i just got unlucky. Either way i was robbed of £70! :x

Every now and again you will come acroos a bad one. I have been done over quite a few times on DNAs. All playing shite, even though they are blatently ready. You just have to accept it and move on.

It is really annoying though when you know you should be winning off that particular machine.

Which one was it in York by the way?

Yep, wasn't happy though, as i've never had a bad experience on DNA.

It was in Cross Keys on Goodramgate. It used to have Hill Billionaire / Hot Gothic / TAW.....but now has DNA / Cobra Cabana / TAW. Good selection, but i got no joy! :x

Not sure if its a chip but prob different programming. Played some DNAs in which the DNA feature can be offered all the time and not affect the gameplay, others do. Same with the £10R thingy!

Ive seen £35, 40 on the tops - its awful! - Once you get passed £25 your 100% sure your getting £50 or maybe a £75!.... Not £35! lol
