Syndicate
Good Evening all,
How many of you would be interested in creating a Fruit Machine players syndicate for owning a horse?
Personally I'd be looking at getting around 25 of us together working out £100 p/m all inclusive trainer, jockey, vet bills for 12 months.
We would have to go out and buy the horse at the sales but you'd be in safe hands with me and I'll talk you through what we're looking for etc.

Forget the idea buddy. a well bread horse will cost £££s and most people who own race horses have more than one because very few do well if finish in a race. Loads of people have tried and quit after a year or less as the dedication and cost to get a horse where you want it to be are just too great.

I'm aware of the improbabilities Sharkie but thanks for the reply.
We're not in the market to find the next Derby winner but to find potential NH horses in the HIT sales October/November time where you pick up more than a fair share of bargains.
The trainer is key to profit, if you want to set up a gamble then you need to find the right man and given most of you are gamblers then it's in all of our best interests to try and land a gamble at big odds - an owners dream although many do go astray.
I've seen some fantastic stories with strong syndicates still going in the right hands and you're in the right company with me I can assure you.

No offence, but if you are so astute why are you making this offer to a bunch of people on an internet forum that you have never met?
It all reads as though you are looking for people of low intelligence to keep throwing money your way each month, after all, if this was such a viable opportunity you'd surely not need to advertise for financial help from strangers.
Forgive my cynicism, but i'll pass.
Some background information on yourself would probably do no harm.

I know of a few that where getting ripped off, they would get a new horse or two, constantly under perform, eventually trainer advises that you get somthing else because its had its chance and the owners listen, recoup a tiny amount of the outlay, only for a couple of months later it hacks up and lands a gamble and performs from then on. Unless you have the money to burn and just see it as a bit of fun or seriously well connected then its never to be seen as an investment.
For a hobby a £100 a month is fair going, but your not going to get a lot of bang for your buck.
