A rival's gone skint
I saw a long-standing rival the other day. This guy was into dodgy bets in the bookies and got extremely lucky with a few of them and got up to £160,000 within a year. (He has a "Boom & Bust" mentality). He would look on fruit players with a snobbish look, choosing to forget that he played them professionally for ten years.
When he got his money, he was, to be frank, a cunt.
He chose to forget those who helped him through lean times or bailed him out after he'd lost up the casino etc.
He even left a mate hungry and without anywhere to live.
Anyway, he walked in on me in Kent the other day and was asking what I was doing in there and what info did I have for him. "Are you still pissing about on machines then?" he asked.
"No" I replied, "I've not played one for ages, I've made my money, you're doing alright aren't you?"
"I'm on my fuckin' ass ain't I?" he says.
He then has the audacity to ask for my number. No chance.
He even asks a mate of mine if I'll help him out. Again no chance.
Even though I don't care what other people earn, I did smile at his downfall. The bastard deserved it.

Yes. I had a 'friend' who liked to dip in to the till so to speak. Pot money would reduce if we played together. He would be 30 in when only 10 etc. Took me and a friend a while to work out what was going on. His loss though, now we don't talk and I hear he just plays out flickers and megas.
Must have cost him thousands and thousands as result of being dishonest as he would still be in the loop. Money and greed, it gets to everybody. There's WAY more important stuff than money, don't get me wrong though you do need it, but Christ almighty I would never steal from friends. Just..
Bod Rudd oh and maybe the Silcocks lol.

I think most full time players will have experienced people dipping the pot, they lose out in the long run. I had susspisions i was being cheated so as we walked in i told him to get drinks...i keyed the machine quickly. it was so much off say 50 for arguements sake.....anway i let him play it and i made an excuse to go out for a fag. So mate howd u get on...yeah made 20 on it.....ok fine. as we are walking out i give him the car keys and said i needed to take a piss. went back in and it was way more off than it shud have been like he made 50 on it or something. so i finished the route....i was seething with anger. as i had been fucked over for 6 months or so. Anyway we had a big fall out over it, he addmited it after a while. hes been cut off and now is on the dole last time i heard. so any new guys be honest. honesty is the best policyAMK wrote:Yes.
