Crash Bandicoot was an excellent game. But utterly frustrating and had me shouting at the screen many a time.

Why did they never convert it to a Fruit Machine? I'm sure it would have sat pretty next to Pac Man and Sonic.

In actual fact they did. Made by JPM in the £25 era, it failed test.

Yes, it was called Cash Bandiloot and was a clone of 5Liner. It was housed in the nice colourful cabinet that was also home to such games as Firecracker and Fantaztec.
