If you could bring back any game, what would it be. And why?

Every Second Counts. Fun end game (if you're too young to remember, kids, it was a bit like Eliminator) as well as being a big payer. I also liked Wize Move from a gameplay point of view, even if it could be frigging tedious trying to work your way round the board once you'd won a bit of cash.

P.S. All I remember about Fruit Machine is the "Mystery" prize mode...will it be a tenner? Maybe a cheeky fiver? It could be absolutely anyth - oh look, it's 20p again.

Wize Move had the cunning strategy of displaying your bank in a massive LCD display at the top of the machine so it was visible from the other side of the pub!

Fruit Machine's mystery jackpot was 70p, first prize was always 20p. Related to Fruit Machine was Supernudger which was great fun. 36 questions for £10 when done (iirc) and the time bar went like the clappers! The fiver was much more attainable under those circumstances.

Yes...I'd forgotten that!!

I'd also forgotten Adders and Ladders (shame on me). I remember going down the Hagley Road in Brum and losing all of the Fruit Machine quizzers to the first version of A/L (i,e, the one without the numbers at the bottom) and thinking Christ...it's all over. Then some kind soul programmed the numbers at the bottom and it was a case of how quickly can it be emptied before a move to the next one.

Concentration anyone?

10 quid grid and the original Bar Quest programme...Brings a tear to the eye.

The numbers at the bottom version was far too easy! Plus you got genuinely random numbers the next game (rather than it blocking on the first screen) if you had won £10 the previous game. After a while I preferred the older one simply because there were too many people doing the upgrade.

I assume you mean Eyes Down (definitely £12 jp). There was also an earlier bingo game by the makers of Quizmaster which had a bug pertaining to the continue and you had to play it with 20ps to exploit it (I think, it was a very long time ago!).

The earlier Bingo game was called Bingo Challenge and involved the Coinmaster cabs with the joystick that had been used on Mazemaster.

There was also a Numbers Game by JPM which involved clearing a Bingo Card to reveal a prize behind.

I was trying to remember games from days of yore that failed (everybody seems to think that only new games are crap but there were some old horrors even back then).

Anybody remember 'Ten Up' or 'The Entertainer'. Only ever saw I each of these. There was a Pac Man as well at one point.

that name doesn't ring a bell ,but could be right nonetheless.

it was a really easy jpt when ready and showed itself by means of a very full looking card for starters and also some very easy questions ,not unheard of getting the same question twice on the trot lol.
