Another thing is that at this present day, it's the worst situation it's ever been here for playables. Is there anyone else in any other city around with not one guaranteed hit about?? Well that's the situation here, in all my years playing i've never known there to not be one pub with something to go in for. Yeah there's still playable dond's about, but none of those are what you'd class as truly consistent. Bad times.

I appreciate what you say about the income being lower.....it probably is in the grand scheme of things. If it goes horrendously badly and I hate it, I guess I can always go back to it, though that's something I'm reluctant to do. Another point is that with all the free time of playing fruits, you can always find ways to spend more money to occupy time. Working will mean less time to spend, more time to save. Plus a few quid on the side from fruits to increase the wallet. I'm looking forward to it! 8)

When I was a young quiz machine player, all the other players used to cover me in chocolate and strawberries and then stab me with forks ...

Life sure was tough growing up in the gateau.

How would a landlord know if you were employed or not then? I actually worked in the building trade when i left school, i used to slot after work in my work clothes, steel toe caps, and dusty clothes etc, and i'm in no doubt i got a few more hits than i would normally, but in that gear it was obvious i was in the building, unless he goes in covered in flour and jam i can't see how anyone could know?

I'm a decorator and I go out and it looks like there is more on me then there is on the walls.

yeah, best of luck, hope all goes well . I'm kinda goin the other way. Have a job paying more than that but consistently makin more from fruits and had enough of the daily grind !! Suppose the grass is always greener !!

Hope all goes well...! I doubt I could ever play full time tbh because I couldnt sleep happily with the fact that my income was that volatile...I know some people have it mapped and thought to a T but it wouldn't work on me. A steady income is good and can lead to great things!

To be fair I have other things to fall back on if it doesnt work out. Regular wage is nice but also never gonna have that great week. Theres much to be said for always knowing whats coming in but never the thrill of a big week and no chance to boost income if you need to. I have spent half my working life employed and half self employed and see this as another self employed option where most of the time the harder I work the more I make for myself not for a boss who sits back making money from my labour. Just have to be very disciplined !!!
