i play alone normally and i do small a route with matt on fridays,

I didn't have a huge issue with my parents My dad thinks it's cool and has done a route with me a few times. I have never argued with them about it, I've never let machines get in the way of my family. My mum is a huge toff though so kind of has an issue with speaking to friends about it.
My wife is cool with it, I don't let it get in the way of our relationship at all but she knows I'm the bread winner so respects the fact I need to be out to sustain our lifestyle. I did a 35 Hilo when they were fresh out on our first date as she was so intrigued with it, slaughtered that and after that she has never complained, only supported me.
Ironically it's my old friends that cause me the biggest issues. I have a lot of friends from school still even though im almost 32, and they almost universally don't like my job. I don't know if it's because they are mainly from the upper social echelons and hence sneer at my profession, and I have had comments aimed at me based on not contributing to society etc...but I have far less to do with them these days because they seem to have taken against me, that's their loss. Ive got plenty of others anyway who won't judge me.
