I can honestly say non, I've never plugged a machine. Now I can see the temptation in that Chris, afterall your just switching power on and off which I've done a few times when a coin mech has jammed. But knowing it's part of a scam on the machine I just couldn't do it.

I'd say that's a grey area, mainly because by the time rats like me hear about this stuff companies have had more than enough chance to fix it and have chose not to for whatever reason.

I'd imagine Blackmogu when he reads this will be able to throw in a sensible argument about no laws amongst switching a machine off or whatever.

As I've always looked at it, as long as your playing a machine as it's designed for as in, you put your money and play the game, if you know of a weakness in that game that you can achieve from your credits your doing nothing wrong.

Plugging a machine is illegal and if they prove you have done it for financial gain you are in shit. Most pubs now have CCTV on most machines to fight off toolers, keyers (not illegal) and pluggers.

Fair play gambo if you've never done any of what I mentioned or similar, I could be well out the park here but i'm sure you've mentioned putting connect 4's back on in the past. Apologies if i'm wrong. you'd be in a small minority as most other players have done something untoward involving machines, for sure. Oh and the one that 99% of members would of done for sure. Keying extremes again illegal
He isn't right of course, he just thinks he is.

No I've not put 1 back on, only done em when they're there. Extremes were a period when I'd stopped playing all together so that's another not guilty your honour. Both very definate tampering with the machine.

I doubt very much that plugging is illegal. I'm in the middle of playing Call of Pripyat (damn game just crashed !) but i'll post later as to my reasoning.
"If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"

Whats the differance between poisoning someones pet dog/smashing up a machine/pub if you had bother or numerous other threats of violence? Its my opinion and i'll stick by it. The differance being is I understand that not everyone will agree with me. Whereas I get the impression with you, its your way or no way.
the dog thing was a fucking joke?

smashing stuff up etc.. one post i made was when i beat some cunt up for saying he was goin to rob me.. ive said many times that if a landlord wants to try and stop me taking my winnings (fully legitimate winnings) id do whatever i had to to stop them...

basicly, if im provoked

not sure what provoked you into thinking stealing was okay..

im pretty sure if i owned the machine and caught someone tooling that id end up getting into more trouble than they did. but without prior excuse as to why they do it??? not sure if theres going to be a good enough one..

also, ive never reset a game to my advantage.. i spread the old itbox codes on this forum, vogm5oos and y44punjm got me mousetrap and cryptic clues back on, i played these games and lost a lot more than i ever took out. so im not sure if using an operator code for "lock on" that i was given as part of my job counts the same as using a mystical and magic "tool"... btw... they sell them in the fucking ad-mag.. not exactly rocket science to find.
